Surgical Socks

Hey guys,

Does anyone know how long I have to keep my surgical socks on? Had my surgery this morning and forgot to ask!

Hi! 1st post on Mya space! I can’t answer from a personal experience point of view but I’m a surgical and scrub nurse and we say they should be fine to come off once you’re home and back to your usual mobility 🙂 hope that helps!! Xx

Well i work with gynae and breast ladies and we say as a rule if you’re able to get up and wander or stretch your legs then whip them off. Only really needed if you’re totally bed ridden and not moving much at all. How’s the pain today? Xx

Ah right thanks for the advice, well I can get up and move around so I might take them off. Would you put them on again for bed or am I okay during the night?
The pains manageable, really sore down the sides today through. Struggle with heart burn from all the tablets and antibiotics as well xx

I had my op at 1:50 and they told me to keep them on over night when I got home that night ☺️Xx

They’re a nuance kept giving me pins and needles in my legs 😂 xxx

I’d keep them off for good. Sorry for super late reply I’m on nights so I’m all back to front 😂 xx

I wear them on shift sometimes as I get sore calfs from being on my feet 13 hours at a time. Not sexy but gets that blood flowing 😂 I keep checking your IG like a mad man haha xx
