Hi I read in the aftercare notes that you aren’t to get the wounds wet or perspire into your wounds as this gives a common ground for infection. I’m 4 days post op and I’ve been sweating in the night literally waking up with sweat on my chest and im worried that it could be effecting the wounded area, does anyone know if this is a big issue? I used to sweat a lot. I would sleep in my night gown coz I was sitting up and my partner was laying down obv I couldn’t pull the covers right up or they would be over his head lol. My incisions are fine and I’m 5 weeks post op now xx

Thanks @ELLIE suppose it can’t really be helped… can I ask aswell how tight you wore your sports bra? I’ve got one the next size up that I’ve been waring bt it seemed rather loose and I could pull it in in the middle to get a tighter fit so the next size down fits ok and pulls them in and bit but doesn’t arf feel tight and like it’s squeezing them abit… not sure which ones best to give them room or keep them sucked in in place xx

I would probably say the tighter one Hun. But not if its uncomfterbly tight. My nurse said mine was fine and I thought mine was too small to be honest! The straps should be quite tight to hold them up in place too she told me xx

as your 4days post op if it’s uncomfterbly tight then you could stay in that one then in a few days your swelling should go down a bit more and the other one might not feel as tight.
I went down a size at 1 week post op and that’s when I changed bras xx
