I’m 3 days post op and the swelling just seems to be getting worse and worse, ive only been given paracetamol and ibuprofen for pain. Can anyone recommend something to help the swelling? Is it normal to feel like im about to burst?
Hi Jessica, I think we had op on same day and I feel the same regarding tightness and swelling . I was perscribed cocodamol As I can’t take ibuprofen, I’ve been using ice packs which really help the swelling, it doesn’t take it down for long but enough to make you a little more comfortable . xx
Hi yeah i think we were i wish the gave me something stronger, i keep getting a shooting pain in my left boob whenever i move my left arm. I will give the ice a go i hope it all settles soon this is a nightmare. Did you get unders? xx
I know it’s so hard isn’t it. My nurse rang today to see how I was, i explained I was worried what to do when I run out of cocodamol. She said she could contact the surgeon to prescribe more or I could contact gp ( which would be quicker as they would have to post prescription) could you get someone to go for you? Also you can buy solpadine at pharmacy which has codeine and paracetamol. Might be abit stronger for you. I had unders too, the nurse reassured me this stage will only last a few days . Xx
Hi! I had my op same day and the swelling is mad, feels like they’re going to burst out of my skin and when I take my bra off they feel like they’re gonna fall out at the bottom! Xx
It must be since we had under the relief i get when i take my bra off is amazing!, im going to try get something stronger im that swollen i have no cleavage xx
