Swimming

Hi girls,

So I know they say not to exercise for 6 weeks but I forgot to ask how long I’ll have to wait before I can swim again. Is it longer due to the incisions? xxx

It’s about 6 weeks too but when I went for my 6 week check I had to wait till 8 weeks for a proper bath!
It all depends on your incisions as being in the bath/swimming makes risk of infection higher x

@amy03 ahh, that’s great thank you. I’ll check with the nurse when I’m at 6 weeks then. I’m hoping to get back to some form of exercise as soon as I can and I thought swimming is fairly light xxx

I forgot to ask about swimming too…hate not being able to exercise x
