Taking the "pill"

Hi there did anyone stop taking their contraceptive pill before surgery as in my documents it’s says to stop taking it two weeks before to reduce dvt or pe? I don’t fancy not taking it to be honest. Just wondered if anyone did this?

Yea I’ve been told I have to I’m getting the injection you can go on the mini pill, the normal pill thins your blood x

Ive been told to stop taking it too… i reply on it though! i stopped taking it today and have my op next wednesday, As Laura said… i think its because it thins your blood which is why your doctors require your blood pressure every now and again when you get your prescription. xx

I’m on the mini pill so I should be ok shouldn’t i? I relay on mine to I wouldn’t want to be “on” for surgery ha! X
