    Hi everyone,

First of all this site is a god send!!

I had my op yesterday. I’m 5ft8, 9st 3 and was a 32A/empty B cup prior with fairly broad shoulders.

I was offered 326,350 and 380 and left it up to my surgeon (Dr Sood, Spire Brentwood) who opted for 350cc unders.

I’ll be posting after pics once my arms can move enough to take a day pic! Anyone have similar stats a bit further on in the process I could look at?

Currently sat here thinking as shoulders broad I should have gone bigger so would be reassuring to see other pics!

Happy to answer any other Qs people have 🙂

    K xx

I have quite similar stats to you – I’m 5’9”, 9 stone 7, previously a very empty 34B, previously a 34 inch chest, broad shoulders, wide hips, not the skinniest of girls.

I was offered 325, 350, 375 and 400. I asked if I could have the biggest that could possibly fit. I ended up with 430.

They will change so much over the next few months. The size, the shape, the position, the overall look. I too wish that I had been able to have bigger as I really wanted to achieve an E at the outset and right now I don’t honestly think that I will.

Give them time, though. What I woke up with straight after surgery and what I have now 4.5 weeks post op are completely different boobs! You may be very surprised.

Thanks for sharing Becca, they look amazing! From the sounds of it will balance your figure out perfectly!

I was aiming for a D which as I also have broad shoulders will probably only look like a C! I guess I just need to stay positive and remember that whatever the size it’s better than before!

I’m looking forward to the drop & fluff- getting married in 5 months so hopefully gives enough time!

When did go back to work? Only got a week off so feeling a bit nervous getting the train etc

I’m 6ft 1″ 10 stone 2 and currently a very empty 32a. I’m having 325cc under the muscle on 23rd Jan. Hope you have a speedy recovery Kay.

    Hey Kay,
Funny thing with selfies after the surgery. I was trying to take a photo to see my boobs from front but was unable to hold my phone.
    Just give yourself more time.

Also I wouldn’t compare myself with the other girls now as it’s too early and as you know your look will totally change.
It’s better to be positively surprised rather than disappointed from the very beginning.
Hope your recovery goes well and smooth xx

    Thank you so much girls!

Kylie, best of luck for your surgery, not long to wait now!

Kay, I think you will achieve a D with what you have had. Between 350 and 430 there is like half a cup size difference, and I am definitely at least a D already, but obviously it’s too early for me to get measured just yet and my left still hasn’t dropped fully.

I think between 3 – 6 months they should settle properly (although they will still continue to change beyond that for up to 12 months) and so you will be looking amazing for your wedding. I have a major event at the end of May to be ready for, so I will also have had 5 months for mine to look their best for that.

I took two weeks off work (well, 16 days in total) just because I really wanted to avoid having to commute on busy trains and risk getting knocked. I probably could have gone back sooner in all honesty as I only sit at a desk all day. I would say definitely take longer if you don’t feel ready to go back after a week, you have to feel comfortable.

Thanks girls, it’s really reassuring to hear your experiences and advice!

Woke up from surgery with stabbing pain in right breast- some oramorph sorted that and had a pretty good night. Today felt ok in the morning but after some codeine felt rubbish- nausea and was on the bathroom floor trying to stop myself from vommitting! Back home now and a lot more comfortable!

I’ll be sure to upload a before and now pic tomorrow so I can see what you think!

Good luck kylie! I was having second thoughts about the whole thing but so glad I went through with it!

Monica you’re totally right- my nurse said to me today “ you might doubt your surgeon now, but you’ll be thanking him in 6 weeks time”

Oh no! I hope the sickness passes quickly for you! Perhaps if the painkillers continue to disagree with you, it might be possible to ask if you can have a prescription for something else?

I think it was just the codeine so I’m avoiding that unless necessary! Sticking to paracetamol and ibuprofen now!

Anyone have any good tips for getting out of bed? Everytime I try I get scared I’m going to damage them!

I’ve been getting out of bed by isolating my lower abs in order to sit up (not using my arms at all) and at first sleeping on the outside edge of the bed so I could swing my legs out to the side to move me up. Now I’m back on my side of the bed by the wall, so once I’m sat up I literally shuffle my bum down bit by bit until my legs reach the edge to pull myself over, to save me having to push with my arms at all. It takes a bit longer but worth it to not risk straining yourself!

I avoided the codeine too, I started off with ibuprofen for the first day or so, but I had terrible constipation and read that this can cause it, so then I switched to paracetamol for the remainder of the time.

Seriously girls, I don’t know what’s worse, soreness after the op or constipation/bloating.. I’ve been taking codeine for 3 days and never felt that heavy and bloated in my life. But it helps miraculously for the pain, can’t deny it.

Kay, you’ll find your best resting and sleeping position soon. Important is to not help yourself with arms, just use your bum .
I was able to get up (still no arms involved) on the 2/3rd day ) without causing a pain and pressure to my chest and muscles.
Our body quickly gets used to the new situation and tells us what to do and what not xxx

It defiantly takes some getting used to not using your arms as it feels automatic to use them to help push you up!

Even with shuffling and getting my legs down first I can still feel the muscles in my chest tighten! Feels so strange! The Dr also advised me to sit on the edge of the bed for a while before standing to avoid increasing your blood pressure and risk of haemotoma so take it easy!

Monica- I think we all expect the soreness but the constipation is the worst! Is there a way you can wean yourself off the codeine? I only took one dose and felt so sick so I’ve just be coping on ibuprofen & paracetamol- staggering them so I’m taking one or the other every two hours. I’m looking forward to getting up without pain to chest- I’m two days post op now so hoping tomorrow will be better!

This is the best post op pic I can get at the moment- still a lot of swelling up top! (Blood on bra is from catching my cannula!) how often are you changing bras girls?

No codeine today Kay, swapped it for ibuprofen and I’m not going to touch it again ?

It should be better every day so fingers crossed for your state to improve tomorrow.

I’ve changed it once already and changing it again tomorrow xx

I’m 4.5 weeks post op now and I still get an bit of an ache when I first get up in the morning. It goes quite quickly though!

3 days PO- I’ve read that the right may be more swollen as it’s my domaint side? Hoping it goes down soon- it definitely is more painful right side

Hmm it would make sense but I’ve got left one more swollen and this one is also more sensitive when touched.
But even during my period, the left one was always suffering more. Maybe that’s why it takes ‘her’ longer to heal.

    Kay, problems with uploading? Xx
