Teardrop or round?

Hi everyone. I have my first face to face consultation on Monday. I am 5’5” tall and weigh about 9stone. I am a UK size 10 and my current bra size is about a 32A/B. I’m a bit deflated after breastfeeding two children for a long time! I’m looking to achieve a very natural size and shape, hopefully a decent C cup.

I’m undecided between round and teardrop. I always thought that teardrop would offer the most natural look but am concerned that I have read that teardrop implants can look odd in a push up bra and also when lying down.

Any help, advice and pictures would be greatly appreciated. When I had the video consult with my surgeon he suggested a minimum of 300cc to get the look I am aiming for but I was thinking more like 275cc.

Hey Linda I had teardrop implants as wanted a really natural look and I love them! I’m sure you can achieve a similar look with round and under the muscle though. I recommend going for the biggest offered as you lose some cc’s if you go under the muscle and they look smaller once they’re in compared to when you try the implants on. I originally wanted a Max of 300c but ended up having 375cc and I’m so glad I did! Xx

Also, Sophie, do you find that you can still achieve a cleavage if you want to in a push up bra? And do they look OK when you are lying down? It’s such a strange set of questions to ask but I’m so anxious about getting the choice right!

Hi Lindy pic below, I still have some settling/dropping and fluffing to go as at the moment one looks slightly bigger than the other! I did have 325 & 375cc as I had one breast bigger than the other and also have some chest wall deformity. They look fine lying down! I can’t really comment on bras as I don’t even own one yet! I am waiting to get measured somewhere properly once lockdown lifts! But they look fab in tops/crop tops! I’m glad I went for teardrop as I didn’t want the stuck on/fake look! Xx

I should also mention at my initial appointment with a surgeon he took one look and told me I needed teardrop due to the small gap between my nipple/crease or breast. The second surgeon dismissed this and said I could have what I wanted but went for teardrop in the end for the natural look. I had Mr Giannas he is amazing xx

Wow! Yours look great. Bigger than I’m looking for which helps me on the cc front (especially as our pre op boobs are a similar size). Thanks so much for taking the time to reply.

Hi, I am 168cm, 57kgs, size 10 U.K. now full 34C.
I went for 275cc round smooth moderate+ projection.

As for the shape and type of implant I couldn’t be happier as I was looking for a natural result but I would totally suggest you go bigger. I think for your size a good 350cc to 400cc suits best.

I wish I had gone 350cc to 400cc if I’d known it’d be so natural the end result.

Update! I got measured today and coming out at 30F! Wow! From an A to an F that’s some going!! Xx

That’s incredible Sophie! I had 265cc round mod+ profile unders in the end. I’m 2 weeks post op tomorrow. Where did you get measured? Are shops opening up their measuring services now? Thanks.

Hi Lindy, hope your op went well! I know I was shocked, I was expecting them to be DD max but I am 30E/F! I went to a local independent bra shop near me as all the high street stores aren’t doing fittings, it’s so difficult!
