Hello, I’m almost (just need to confirm) booked in for 8th June but I have a few things going on around 1-2 weeks post op and I’m just looking for real experiences as how you were feeling at this point please?

Like, will I be feeling ok to be out and walking around? 1 week later. No heavy lifting or anything like that, but just out and about.

    Thank you x

    Hey Alice
Hope you’re well and excited! I had my surgery yesterday..
When I first came out of surgery around 10am – I was up and walking already to be honest lol – when I got home I was still up and about around 4pm .. the night sleep was pretty good to be honest.. just make sure you have a pillow set up .. I’ve got a slanted pillow and about 8 pillows around it that make a little U shape for me to fit in.
Day 2 today and I’m still sore but up and about.. feeling a little constipated but I’m aiming to stop my heavy drugs tomorrow (co-codamol) – and just switch to ibuprofen- I’m sure you’ve watch loads of videos lol – it’s exactly like all the women call it- like a pressure on your chest or like you’ve gone to the gym and did chest for ages.

I could go out and about if I wanted but I don’t want to over do it in the first 2 days – I can also shower waist down if I want but I’m just being a bit lazy lol – gonna have a waist down shower tomorrow. I’ve been very active and I go to the toilet on my own, get in and out of bed on my own but I also have a very strong core strength so it’s not a big deal walking about.

The pain meds make you drowsy but other than that I feel okay – I just need a poo lol – haven’t taken laxative yet but I might do tonight.

Hope this helped! Feel free to drop me a private message if you want someone to talk to during your recovery.

    I got smooth/HP/275/under muscle x

Hey Alice, you must be excited!
I had my surgery last week Tuesday so now 8 days post op.
The day of the surgery I felt amazing straight after I had so much energy and no pain at all however this was due to the medication and anesthetia.
Second day was feeling pretty good was still shocked as I did not have any pain. Pain started on day 3 and was pretty intense till day 5/6, pain level was a 6 out of 10.
Couldn’t do much apart from going toilet eating and watching tv either sitting on sofa or bed. During all this time up until now have been on all medications. I have been taking daily walks for about 30 mins but have to be honest they do make you exhausted. Once I am out I feel tired after 15 minutes and don’t have the energy to stand up a lot. I had off work until the end of next week and was meant to return to work on Monday but called off sick this week because I am taking my time to recover. However everyone’s recovery is different my pain level now is 3/10.

If you have more questions ill be happy to help good luck!:)

Hi! I had my Surgery on Monday the 15th, so one week post-op tomorrow!

I’ve been finding recovery quite difficult if I’m honest, been a few low points for me this week just feeling so fed up and uncomfortable. Don’t regret my decision at all though, days just pass so slowly when you don’t have much to do, sitting around in pain LOL.

As Eliziana said, recovery is different for everyone. My worst pain at the moment 6 days post-op is honestly back pain (despite having all the supports in the world when sitting around), a bit of sharp incision pain/side boob pain when I move around and I second the bloating and constipation…no significant movement since the morning of my op, taking laxatives tonight, it’s horrible!

It’s definitely possible that one week post-op you’d be up for a wee day out, had my first trip to a supermarket and a cafe with my Mum yesterday and all was fine, implants just feel weird when walking though, like super heavy and tight and back hurt a bit extra but overall it was okay. Do take it easy though, I wouldn’t recommend any long days out walking around, it is really tiring still and before you know it you might just want to be back in bed!

Wishing you luck for your op!! 🙂

I’m two days post op. I am a small frame and went for 400cc I’ve been in agony. Everyone is completely different. I think I am a wimp with pain. I had epidurals for both births. I’ve been taking 60mg codeine, brufen and paracetamol. I felt like I could barely move. Im day two now and feeling a bit better. Stiches pull sometimes and my sternum feels like I’ve been resuscitated. I was hoping to come out like most women with zero pain and be walking around. But good to set the bar low and anything better is a bonus!
