Telling my manager

Hi All

My manager is amazing and I would also class her as a friend, however how can I tell her about my BA at work in a professional way? I just want her to tell her so she understands unders will be a hard recovery and I won’t be able to lift and may need an extra hand at work over the 6 weeks. Do you have any advice of how you told your manager please?

Honestly I have the same relationship with my manager and I actually just text her first and told her before sending an official email explaining about time off. She was so lovely and supportive about it and I think telling her first like a friend worked well for us.

I told my manager straight out but did blush as my boss isn’t a woman but my boss is amazing & I’m rated as one of the best employees so I can have a little leeway wheres anyone else would get reprimanded, I don’t take advantage of this tho 😉 xxx
