Telling people about op

Hi girls, just wondered if anyone had any advice. I work 2 jobs my main one I’m not bothered about telli people that I’m having a BA but my other job is in a pub where all staff are male. I really don’t want to tell them what I am doing as they will do everything to persuade me not to go ahead with it. Rather just get it over with. I’m plannin on taking 2 weeks off from both jobs one to recover and one for just enjoying the week. Any ideas of an excuse to use. Really don’t wanna lie or say I’m going on holiday as I’d feel awful lying when I come back.

Hey Sam! I had the same kind of situation, just started a new job and didnt want to say I was going for a BA as don’t know the staff yet very well so didnt want any gossip or negativity going round. In the end I just told then I was going in for l a minor op on my back- so not really lying about the op, but just not the complete truth! 2 weeks off is a good idea, wish I’d booked more than 1 as sure il still be abit sore when I go back! With working in a pub aswell you won’t be able to lift anything for a good few weeks so youl need an excuse for why you suddenly can’t lift things ( that’s why I chose back op) lol xx

It is awkward isn’t it. I may just have to tell the boss and not tell anyone else. I don’t mind them knowing afterwards they’ll prob tell anyway but just can’t be doing with the negativity beforehand. it’s only a part time job to help pay for the things anyway lol. Thanks for the advice I may have to play at an aching back for a couple weeks before hand. X

I haven’t told my work as i know it would be passed about , and no-one has said anything to me : ) xx

I work for an electrical company with 11 electricians who are all male DREADING them finding out 🙁 Im going to get teased so bad!

Well I had a nose job…..and I work in I.T. and an all male office and no one noticed….but then again guys don’t really notice noses much….boobs on the other hand…. maybe ~ but I wouldnt really worry about it 🙂 xx
