    Hi girls!

Has anyone ever told their surgeon that they are unhappy with their boobs? If so what was the outcome?
Im so unhappy with the size, they look nothing like the pictures i took with the implants in the bra! Not even close! Was wondering if anyone else felt like this and told their surgeon?
    Thank you xcx

Sorry to hear ur unhappy at this point in ur journey but please bare in mind the sizers are just a rough guide and no cup size is actually guaranteed. It says this on all the paperwork plus every one is so individual.

I had 325 cc mod plus unders and was told by my surgeon I should be a DD/E max and I ended up a FF (in some stores I’m a G) this was purely because of my frame and band size. I was in total shock tbh.

U are both less than 6 months post op and your final result can take up to a year so there is a still a lot more settling and softening to do.

My boobs are 6 months post op and they look and feel totally different to how they did at six-eight weeks. Please note that implants measure larger than natural boobs and u may measure the size u wanted purely through it being ur “sister size” all of which u can research online or ask at ur bra fitting.

If it helps try to consider the three things u wanted from ur ba.
Mine where volume/fullness, size and closing the gap between my boobs.

When u see ur surgeon before going on about what u dislike about the size find out how they came to the size that was agreed. What was the max implant offered and projection. Sometimes it’s impossible to fit in a particular size because ur body can’t accommodate it first time round due to the width of ur boobs and chest.

If by a year post op ur seriously upset with ur size, ur internal pockets made during surgery should have stretched enough to accommodate a larger implant. My friend did this and upped from 300cc -500cc however she is still unhappy and wears push up bras daily!

    Hope that helps fx

I had 325 and 350 cc.. i feel so down about them. When i look at my befores and afters there is a difference but i honestly can say i still wouldnt ware a bikini. I still feel like a small chested person. 🙁
On photos they look so much larger!
I constantly cry to Claudine, i spend most of my days goggling to see if they will do much changing. I really feel like i have wasted my money! I wanted natural looking boobs but i wanted bigger boobs, not these wide things stuck on my chest! I know they can change so much but i honestly cant see them growing anymore 🙁
I have said i was unhappy from day one, after spening so much money we should be inlove with them right? 🙁

I dont even know how to bring it up with the surgeon because her work is amazing i cant fault it, they are just not the size i had in mind at all! 🙁

@toria31 so sorry to hear ur down hun! I honestly think they have more fluffing and softening to do if ur less than 6 months. Mine have changed and softened quite a bit and I was 6 months yesterday.
I think ur boobs look stunningly natural!

I had mod plus unders and understand wht u mean about them being wide but they’re usually only suggested in certain cases where u may have a sizeable gap and large chest /breast plus. I personally found that most of the tops/bodies and dresses I bought for post op that had spaghetti style straps emphasise the wideness of the overall breast look. When I wear a top that has a thicker strap /area from boob to shoulder it really makes them look different. I’m personally more conscious of them looking small/fake when the strap is mega thin. I suggest while u are still getting used to them to try different styles of tops and dresses that u had never thought would work. Everything I thought would look amazing doesn’t ans stuff I’d never think twice seems to look great. So I’m stuck with tons of zara and topshop things I bought ages ago but will force myself to wear to get out of my omg they look not so great today zone which is crap but hey I’ll make it work.

Honestly it takes time but it will get better I’m sure. As I said before if u want to go larger usually takes a year post op to go ahead. Whatever u do please don’t be tempted to wear a push up bra until.ur a year post op as this can displace ur implants. Fxx

I’m 8wpo and right from week one I hated them. The size is great but there not full enough at the top so I still have to wear a bra. I spoke with the nurse to be told all the implants do is give you a bigger size than they was before. I explained if I’d been told this I wouldn’t of wasted my money. I wanted bigger rounder boobs and haven’t got this. She arranged an appointment with the surgeon for 2 weeks time, I think I’m more worried that he will want to charge me again to give me something that I originally wanted that they didn’t give me! I suppose not everybody is going to have a success story but it’s still really upsetting when it just doesn’t work out the way you planned, i never considered for a moment i would dislike mine more after surgery i had the op to enhance them after today i just feel like i wish i could turn the clock back im so worried what they would look like now witha removal, im literaly praying they will re-do my surgery, i wasn’t looking for perfection i wasn’t putting a good enough pair on the table to expect them to be perfect afterwards but was not prepared for the gap, only having side boobs and today i felt sick in the changing room it was a 2 way mirror i leaned forward and the whole side is visibly heavily rippled, i feel so unlucky, really hope anybody who is feeling down about them at present gets a change in how there presenting and you can feel good about your implants again xxx

Ah thank you gem, i had dr fiumara. She is amazing i cant recommend her enough. Her work is so neat!

Ahh claudine im so sorry you have seen rippling hun! Must be so upsetting to feel unhappy about something you have been dreaming about doing 🙁
I dont blame the surgeon, i went in saying i wanted a d cup not realising implants measure bigger. I wanted to look a d cup.. not a b cup but measure a d 🙁
I think if my surgeon says to me that i could not go any bigger then i will just have to learn to love them. But i had bigger boobs than this when i was breastfeeding! I have messaged my pc about how i feel so i will see what she says when she gets back to me! Xxx

    Hi girls.

I’ve had multiple problems so far, I’m two years post op and I’m two surgeries in right now and due for another in the next few months. When I initially went for a consult I was advised that if the surgeon thinks that a better outcome be it size/shape/fullness can be achieved then any revision surgery would be free of charge. And it has been…. my last and my next surgery is free because I argued that it was not the concept I was pitched that made me spend nearly 6 grand. Don’t be afraid to tell them when you are not happy, it’s a lot of money to spend and not be happy. X

So confusing 2 Shannon’s on the same post 🙂
Hope i have tagged the right one!
I think i have figured my issue (still waiting for an appointment day to see surgeon) so trying to look at possible things it might be in the meantime, they have suddenly got quite a bit worse in the last 2 days and i think it might be Lateral displacement, it’s seems the most likely answer after spending half the night on realself, they are now literaly in my armpit and i can’t put a bra on it’s agony within 5 mins, the projection was poor to start with but i know have totaly flat fronted breasts, took a photo whilst standing up to make sure its not just when i lie down and it’s just as bad, also took one lying on my side it’s like a ball between my back and underarm can’t push them together at all now so think the heavy rippling is due to them being forced round there by my muscle, if this is my problem do you know if im covered for it Shannon? xxx

Yeah the top one is taken from above my head Chloe, and then the other is the same pic turned on it’s side, the one in the green is me lying down so if anything it should slope down towards my cleavage with gravity but it just stays in the armpit, i can’t sleep for it sticking in me, i tried to put an underwired bra on a push up type (obviously without padding) just to try and pull it out my armpit to get sleep but they just dont move i thought it was because they were still very firm previously but my surgeon gave me some exercises to do (rolling on top on them on the floor face down) and that did soften them at first and i thought things were getting better but there now quite soft but just not moveable, not a soul has even noticed ive had them done, you honestly can’t see them unless im naked or nearly have my back to you, im on holiday in 6 weeks im devastated theres not a single type of bikini i can wear to hide it xxx

Thankyou Shannon im 12 weeks post op but ive had problems from the start, i saw him at 7 weeks and at that point it did seem like it was maybe just a case of them not dropping as they were still very hard, but one has been bulging out to the side since day 3 after my op, im just waiting for them to come back to me with an appointment date possibly july 5th but waiting for confirmation, ive rrad up on all the causes for this and most likely is my pectorals being too tight or over dissection of pocket, im so sorry to hear you are on your third attempt!! That is awful i genuinely hope your next op puts everything right for you, are your incisions still looking ok after re-opening? Do you mind if i ask what went wrong with the previous 2 BAs? Yeah Safiam it is really sad when you’re not totally happy with your surgery 🙁 like the other girls, I never even considered this at all that I would feel like this… I mean it gets better, and I still would never go back to my saggy loose boobs before! They’re just like Victoria’s said, not the SIZE and look I had in mind…. and I didn’t expect to still fit all my tops I did before.. still though don’t lose hope! You’re in a better position in that you have the power to make any last little tweaks you want, don’t go into your surgery with ANY doubt at all!! Sounds like you’re having a rubbish time Claudine 🙁 I’m guessing you had unders? What profile and cc if you don’t mind me asking?

So I had mine done over 2 years ago, I had tubular breasts to a degree so my surgeon suggested doing ‘scorring’ a technique apparently used to help the breast tissue stretch over the implant, so many incisions were made inside my breast for this technique which ended up being visible for a while after. I had a horrendous post op infection ? Due to this technique. The sizes were 100cc in diffference and they looked terrible. Had the second op a few months after my first, they matches the sizes up in this op and said they would explore my other breast as I thought I had mild capsular contracture, I consented to those two procedures and they did not explore the other breast, so was really annoyed at that as I had consented to it. Now I am left with still assymetrical breasts to a degree and huge double bubble, really unhappy, I spent nearly 6 grand to have this operation due to being self conscious about having small tubular breasts…. and I’m still left feeling horrible self conscious. 🙁

(Hope I’m not putting anybody off, it is still the best thing I’ve ever done and they look fine in a bra, just outside of a bra not a great profile and also I suffer with pain from them)

So confusing! Haha I was a 32a – well that’s what I wore, I was probably smaller than that, and I had 325cc under the muscle , I measure at a 30E /32dd but they just don’t look it if that makes sense? Like I expected them to look bigger, like noticeable especially in clothes, as I keep wanting to wear boots bras just to show I’ve had it done, and I used to live in boost bras before I got it done ????. I’m 10 weeks post op now and I just hope they will get more bigger with drop and fluff ????

Which is such a shame because from start to finish MYA and my surgeon was fab! I’m just hoping I can get something sorted, although I don’t feel hopeful they are going to do me another one free of charge but after spending so much money first time round I refuse to pay again. I know everyone will say be paitient etc which I have no choice but to be but can’t be forking out all that money again to go bigger when I did ask to be bigger in the first place and surgeon just said no, I’m sure if it was any other surgeon they would of agreed or maybe even suggest going under the muscle ( think this allows you a little more ) his done a good job with the asymmetry as I had a big difference but for my height and build just don’t feel 400/325cc are big enough.

@giraffequeen so sorry u are going through this I just had a look at ur pics. Try not to wear the push up bra as it may displace them further. Were u given a breast band after the op? If so I would be inclined to wear it again to push them back inward towards ur cleavage and stick to non wired bras as they clearly will not fit correctly if they’re literally in ur armpits.

I had to wear mine for a bit longer as I had issues with my boobs dropping one a bit slower than other and wouldn’t settle properly into bra cup.

It’s clear something has gone untoward but definitely they can sort it out. It maybe worth posting the image onto realself.com and getting some feedback from surgeons. So u have an idea and some background on possible issues when u see ur surgeon again and understand what they’re saying. I would definitely try an see them before ur holiday to give u peace of mind and a clear path of resolution.

Bikini wise ur better off with a crop top style that’s more sporty and will push them back towards ur chest whilst also providing some support. Primark have lots in this style. It won’t be like this forever! Stay focused on the resolution hun don’t lose faith it will be ok x

    @fran32 ·
Hi Fran thanks so much for your very kind comment and advice, sounds like our issues did start of similar baring in mind the advice you have given, i actualy can’t wear any type of bra it put’s me in agony within 5 minutes so during the day im wearing a crop top but in constant pain it’s not agony but it’s enough for me to be aware of it at all times, it feels like somebody pushing on my chest like a constant pressure, i didn’t get a band after surgery but i got one last week i have been wearing it for bed to pull them in, it’s hard to get to sleep as i can feel them sticking in me but with the band im much more comfortable, just using the v-pillow, between my knees and under my chest.
Ive posted on realself a few times over the past few weeks because it’s too distressing just sitting round waiting to be seen when your in pain so at least your getting some feedback, unfortunately from several doctors ive been told now i have severe rippling, lateral displacement, jumping breast syndrome and double bubble or bottoming out in one breast, ive been into 3 shops again at the weekend (the girls in boix avenue and house of fraser have been amazing with me!) Trying to get something to fit me for my holidays i have one bra now that i think i could stand for an hour or 2 in a dress and 2 crop top bikinis (allthough in one of them there still sticking out the sides a bit) if it wasn’t for the kids being excited i definately would have cancelled i just want to get there and get back!!
I know there is a way to sort it and if my surgeon feels it’s not the answer then i will go ahead with removal i can’t stay like this, my boobs before were awful naked but i could make a great clevage with them i was just limited to clothing types through having to wear big padded bras, this pic was last year (went out fancy dress as Amy Winehouse that is not my usual attire!! Ha ha) and second pic is now they look so much worse, not 1 person has noticed because i look smaller now in clothes, im actualy not too bothered about size it was more about the clothes/bikinis for me and not needing the padding, seeing surgeon on wednesday so doing as much research as i can xxx

@giraffequeen thank God u have found something to wear for ur holiday that’s a massive weight off ur shoulders at least. Well done for getting some feedback in realself.com at least u can go in with some ideas and it won’t be a massive shock as u have already researched the different issues. Please let us know how Wednesday goes.

As u had unders I’m surprised u weren’t given a breastband but I know some surgeons prefer strapping instead. It’s not too long to go to find out. Fingers and toes crossed for u. As there maybe a few issues or overwhelming I’d suggest u take some notes while ur surgeon examines u, just so ur clear when u get home to go over ur options. The breast band can be quite uncomfortable at times especially if u put it on quite tight my nurse showed me how to align it and to the centre of one of my nipples where u pull the Velcro ans it was soooo tight. I was in it for nearly 5/6 weeks but it made a massive difference.Fxx

@victoria I’m glad I’m not alone on this I’ve just put a post up about mine. I’m 7 weeks post op. They are measuring well under the F cup I paid for. I saved for 3 years to have this operation. And it’s made me feel so unhappy for so long. To then get them done and they are nothing like what I was expecting! I feel my surgeons bad judgement on size implant hasn’t given me the boobs I so badly wanted. They look no different in tops . And I would need a good booster bra to give them the full big look I want all the time. I’ve got a appointment on the 17th July & im seeing my surgeon . I’m totally gutted about it all they have not changed in weeks so doubt they will anymore . I m desperate to have a re op and hope he can understand I won’t be taking it to lightly about having another operation either but I feel miserable. I’ve looked at my terms and conditions of contract and in paragraph 4 it says ” “Revision surgery will only be offered if it is in the opinion of the surgeon that an additional procedure will help to achieve the original result anticipated” so I’m putting that to him also. Reading all these comments I can’t believe how many of us are miserable:-( xxx
