The 2week no alcohol rule?

Does every1 stick to this no alcohol rule? I’m away in a caravan few days after ba and I’m thinkin if I feel ok it’s guna b abit of a bummer if every1 is sippin on ther wine and I’m sat wif a cup of tea lol. What’s every1s opinion who have already had there op? I knw some girls who hav been out night clubbing it 4days after! X

My friend went out 2 days after her op. I think it’s meant to slow the healing process but I don’t think it’s really bad if you do drink

I mean I’m not guna go out partying but I’m away in a caravan so would b nice if I cud have a bottle of wine on the night if I was up to it u know what I mean x

It thins your blood and is bad for healing. I was off to a party one week before my op and nurse happened to call me and she said I could if i had just one small glass of wine but it would be better if I didn’t.

I didn’t.

I avoided alcohol for 2 weeks before the op and 3 weeks after… They told me it’d thin the blood and could delay healing… But I spoke to a few friends who’ve had much more serious operations and they weren’t told that at all! Really weird… Maybe it’s to do with bumping into things when you’re drunk rather than actually the alcohol itself. Does make me wonder…

You’re not allowed to drink while you’re antibiotics as far as I’m aware so if you’re still taking them then it’s a no go x

the nurse told me 1 week should be fine but as long as its definitely no alcohol within 48 hrs of having it done xxx

I’ve been told no alcohol two week before and two weeks after and am trying to stick to the two weeks before – BA is this Saturday – but am not sure if I’ll stick to the two weeks after especially as it’s my birthday one week after :-). I’m going to see how I feel. I too know people who’ve had much more invasive surgery and were not told about no drinking.

Its more for the antibitoics they give you as alcohol stops them working and you need to take them for a week. TBH i wasnt in the mood to drink straight after but everyones different. I think I had my first glass of wine about 10 days post op x

I had my op 13 days ago, I had a glass of wine the eve before around 6pm to try and help me get to sleep, my admission time was 7am the next day….I didn’t feel like drinking the week after as I felt really crap, but have drank since and I couldn’t give up smoking, I was asked if how much I drank and smoked when I got to Highgate and I told the truth, nothing was said to me about it, it is a private hospital and you are paying a lot of money for a service so you are advised to not do these things…I wouldn’t drink if you are on antibiotics but I only had three days worth so not long at all, It is down to personal choice hun, don’t panic too much, like some of the other girls have said, a lot of ppl go through ops without being told to stop drinking for a number of weeks xxx

I had a wedding to go to 3 days after mine and had a few glasses of wine, just made sure I didn’t take my co-codamol that day as it made me soooo drowsy!! I was totally fine, I asked my nurse and she said it’s due to the blood thinning issue but also in case u fall drunk and hurt yourself… So obv just be extra careful and see how u are with ur pain killers as mixing them may send u to sleep lol!! but you will be fine!xxx

no worries, im not sure tbh, I tried the measuring thing where you add a cup size for each inch after your back size? I was 32d…Im not sure if its an accurate way of doing it , I am only 2 weeks post op so havnt been measured properly yet xx

R u happy with them? I’m reading loads about ppl wishing they had gone bigger ect bt I fink I’m more scared of goin to big lol xx

I am happy as they are a huge improvement on wat I had, but as you say a lot of people wish they went bigger, as I do sometimes think I should have gone bigger, but …..I didn’t want ppl to notice that I had a boobjob, I wore really padded bras so I look the same with clothes on at the mo, until I start wearing vests and you can see the boobie flesh….and I suffer with neck pain and wen I was preg I had really sore shoulders because of the weight…I see a lot of girls on here with huge boobies and I do feel a little jealous but at the end of the day I am now in proportion and that is wat my surgeon suggested would look best so as long as I have a good normal full handful of good looking breast I am happy 🙂 i can now let my partner see me naked and our personal life should improve massively …..don’t go too big babe…because you are stuck with them….as long as they are a nice average size and look brill and in proportion with your body than that’s all that matters 🙂 wat size cc are you looking at having? xx

Ether 385cc or 415cc I really dnt knw what to choose I got offered 4 sizes but I can’t remember them but them 2 were the 2 biggest and a duno what to go with I want 2 b DD. xx

hmmm im not sure wat size they would take you? i got offered one size and because i had no boobs at all i asked my surgeon if he would think that would cause the best outcome for me i went with wat he said…that prob made it easier for me as i wasn’t given a choice….my experience with mys was a complete whirlwind as i had my consultation and 6 weeks later i had the op! xx

Tht is Lyk me too so I feel Lyk I need 3 get it wright I had my consultation on 8th march met dr traynor on the 10th and havin my op 23rd April lol. I think I’m guna go get measured proply tell him exactly what they measure me at then say on the day ryt what size is guna b best 4 a dd cos I wud hate to end up a f or sumit :-O cudnt cope wif huge boobies lol xx

yeah maybe that’s the best, then you can get the size you actually want 🙂 ah ha …I was worrying that id end up too big…youll be ok babe….there isn’t much between the sizes you are considering …not long though sweet….bet youre well excited xx
