    Hey Girls!
So my suregery is on the 7th August and i am still undecided as to go partials or unders. I know that there isn’t a huge difference but I want to be sure as to what it is I want! Does anyone with unders/partials have some pictures they could share? <3 Any advice on how you came to your decison would be great!

I had partials tbh I don’t understand the difference but my surgeon said he wanted to do partials (I asked for unders) because he felt my nipple would sit slightly higher and look better …. I’ll upload a pic for u, its the day after surgery so they’re high n can’t really see size but im glad I went with wat my surgeo chose, he knows his stuff, Id have 4 kids and although I had no sagging maybes he felt my nipples needed to sit higher up xx

Hi, I have been researching this a lot as i think there is a big difference. I have my op on Friday and i told them i wanted unders as i wanted the support of the serratus muscle (under the bottom of implant) to stop sagging. It seems partials only have the muscle over the top (the pectoralis) so isnt anything under the implant supporting it. I have also been emailing my PC about it and she has said that no Mya surgeons do full unders, they all do partials. It would be good to know if you know any surgeons that do full unders. Im thinking of swapping to overs now as i dont see the point in the pain x

Hi Chloe, did you have unders? Or were they partials? I know there are a few lucky ones like you who dont have that much pain but have heard a lot that do aswell! I will probably one of the unlucky ones haha x

Hey Chloe, I have found a list on google of the pros/cons of each placement so I hope this helps you like it did me!

Over the Muscle – in front of the muscle, and behind the breast tissue. (overs)
    Pros:
    -Shorter recovery time
    -Accommodates larger implants
    -Allows natural cleavage

    Cons:
    -Rippling more visible
    -Highest capsular contracture rates
    -May have an unnatural look

Partial Submuscular – implant is located beneath the top 2/3 of the pectoral (chest muscle). (partials)
    Pros:
    -Low risk of rippling
    -Low risk of capsular contracture
    -More visible mammograms

    Cons:
    -Longer recovery time
    -More discomfort in recovery
    -Implant size limited

Complete Submuscular – implant is completely behind the pectoral muscle. (unders)
    Pros:
    -Lowest risk of rippling
    -Lower risk of capsular contracture
    -More visible mammograms

    Cons:
    -Longer recovery time
    -Longer time to settle
    -Implant size limited
