The pill

So had my pre op on thurs and was told to come off my pill.
I’ve just had my pill free week but u wanted to know if anyone still took there pill and just stopped it abruptly the 2 weeks prior to op?
I was going to not take my next packet but what would happen I I did te two weeks and then stopped two weeks before op, so mid way through the packet?! Xxx

If you do it that way hun you would risk being on for your op
depending on how long your body takes to kick start after you take your
break from the pill.
How long do u have left until your operation?

Well if u don’t take the next packet I will be on for my op anyway?! So I don’t know what to do x

Tbh my nurse said she just carried on when she had her op but it’s all upto u .. She didn’t understand why u gott stop apart from cover their own bums I guess hmm it’s getting exciting I bet 🙂

In theory it slightly increases the chances of DVT. Deep Vein Thrombosis.

I think it’s a very minuscule extra risk, but that’s why they say it.

Ah yeah … But then we got the beautiful stockings so that counteracts that 🙂 I’d just stick to the pill to be fair some girls smoke on the day or drink night before and come out fine

Nurse told me it thins the blood out a bit more?
Idk.. i know some people do this and that but I guess its what you feel comfortable with and how well you heal in general?

I asked my surgeon if I needed to come off my pill and me told me I didn’t. I’m sure taking mine and have my op on Tuesday. X

i have just decided to come off it … i spoke to the nurse and she just said stopping after 2 weeks will probably mess my body up which is what i thought. and with my past history of trouble with the pill its just easier haha xx
