Hi, I’ve been on Microgynon contraceptive pill for a few years. Do you have to stop taking it before the operation? xxxxx

Yeh your ment to stop two weeks before, but I refused to stop taking it and took the risk x

I continued to take my pill.. My nurse etc all knew and asked with the general health questions! But didn’t tell me to stop x

It depends. I had my pre op yesterday and she said I could keep taking it because of the type I’m on and don’t health risks xx
