The Pill

I’ve read various different comments on other forums but wondered what you girls have been told. Is it a mya stipulation that you come off the pill for the op or does it differ from surgeon to surgeon. What have you all been told? xxx

:smile:hi rio i had my pre op in leeds today not got ba till dec 18th.my nurse dawn said ive got to stop taking my pill 2 weeks before surgery.im taking microgynon.i suppose some surgeons are different but i was told to stop mine.hope that helps x

im having my op a week on friday and i went to see my nurse (who is the same nurse as you juicylips – dawn at leeds :smile:) on the 22nd of september and she told me to stop taking my pill that weekend so i stopped taking mine 3 weeks before. hope this helps rio! 🙂 xxx

i took microgynon and i was told i could carry on taking my pill as normal

Thanks girls, maybe it depends on the type of pill then. I’ve stopped it for a month. Bit of a pain but I suppose better to be safe than sorry xxx
