This time next week :-):-)

So this time next week I will have my new nose 🙂 So nervous but excited too 🙂 Does anyone have any advice on what to take to the hospital or anything I may need 🙂 Thanks x

@lianne Take a few magazines, you may be waiting a very long time before hand!!!!!!!! Afterwards you’ll be too drowsy to do anything. Your phone will keep you occupied! Make sure you wash your hair the night before! its a struggle with the cast on afterwards! PLEASE take arnica tablets religiously as they will massively help with the bruising!!! Im not actually too happy with my result at the moment so I’m hoping in 6 weeks ill see the changes I’ve been told ill see But hey!!!

Hi Chloe…..Thanks for the advice 🙂 I’ve already started on the arnica tablets so keeping fingers crossed with the bruising 🙂 I’m just really concerned with how I’m going to feel when I come round from the op, lol…..How’s your nose? What is it that you’re not happy with? It must be such a relief to get the cast off 🙂 xxx

I’m so nervous too ? Have you had your admission time yet? I’m having the bridge shaved as I have a bump and he said he will also need to shorten and lift the tip…. I’m also a little worried about the tip part…… But he said it wouldn’t look in proportion otherwise so just keeping fingers crossed ? I’m more worried about how I’m going to feel when I come round from the op lol ️xxx

No not yet had my time. She said a few days before the op. Have u got yes yet? Oh ok that’s reassuring. He asked me what I wanted doing with the tip and I was like errr ? Haha didn’t quite know what to say as I thought he would tell me. Lol. Which clinic do u attend for yr consultations and stuff? Yh I’m also bit worried about after too xxx

Yh me too I’m going back the same day. So like u hope it’s not to late ? I also attend the Chelmsford clinic but I live in Kent. I reckon it will be a long day going by what other people are saying. Hopefully we’ll get our times tomorrow or Friday ? I prob won’t get much sleep Monday night ? Xxx

Carly, I don’t think I’m going to be there….I haven’t been feeling great the last couple of days….Thought I had a water infection….My test came back this afternoon and I’ve got to go on antibiotics :-(:-( I’m so upset right now…I’ve left a message with the Chelmsford clinic but think they are going to say I’ve got to put the op back 🙁 I’m just keeping everything crossed…xxx

Oh no. Not good. I really feel for u Hun as I know how much u find yourself thinking about the op and preparing for it. Hopefully they say u can still have it done. I have everything crossed for u Hun xx

Girls my admission time was 7.30am and i didnt get seen until 1.3opm so honestly i advise taking magazines or a laptop to watch a film, there is a tv in the room too! plus your phone charger! I asked for my bridge to be shaven and scooped. and i see no scoop yet which is disappointing, but he has lifted my tip! i was worried i looked piggy ish but actually i quite like it now the cast is off! the cast really is fine to have on. Just relax the whole week you have it on! i had no pain what so ever when i woke up and the week i had the cast on. i still took some of the pain killers just to keep it at bay to be safe! Butttttttttt yeah when i woke up from it i felt very very sick and very dizzy. like i almost couldn’t force myself to wake up. lifting my head was horrible, but they keep you in until you come round…… i didnt leave the hospital until 9pm once i finally perked up! but yeah for me it wasn’t a nice feeling but my boyfriend has his nose done too, we shared a room and when he came around he was absolutely fine, so really everyone is different, and it will be so worth it!! i just hope to god mine scoops other wise I’m getting that revision!!!!!!!!!

Hi Chloe thanks for yr message. Yh by the sounds of it we’ll be in for a long wait. Does the surgeon go through with u again before the surgery what it is u want? I just want him to get it right!! I just don’t want it to look any different from the front. I hope yr happy with yr nose after the 6 weeks. Fingers crossed for u. I’m so nervous ??

Hi girls….. Sooooo pleased The clinic has just called. I can still have it done ??? The antibiotics I’m on won’t affect anything ?? So will definatley see you there Carly I’m really really nervous ?? So glad your allowed to go ahead and have it done!!!!!! Yes the surgeon will come in before your surgery to go through everything with you, and take photos of you again. If you have seen a nose you like show him a picture and then at least you can be like “i did you show” as he will do what he can!!
but yeah the week of having the cast on really is totally fine! catch up on tv and watch a series or something! I must say though they tell you not to eat anything hot so no hot food/dinners for 3 days . Saying that its quite hard to eat the first 2/3 days anyway its like you have no movement in your upper lip its odd. Im still finding it hard to smile!! Awww thanks Chloe….I’m so relieved….I was so worried last night that they were going to say I had to reschedule…..I have got a couple of pics so I’m pleased I’ll have the chance to show before its done…..How did you find sleeping? Did you sleep sitting up? Also how did you feel on day 3/4? I’m only asking as I have a dog and he will only go out walking with me lol…He’s a bit over protective ha ha…I’m wondering if I will feel up to taking him for a lil walk somewhere quiet…..Don’t really want to be seen with my cast on lol…Srry for all the questions 🙂 xxx

I got a bit of a mixed reaction really….Matt really didn’t want me to get it done to start with but he’s fine with it now….Think he was more concerned if something went wrong….My mum, dad and sister haven’t been too bad…..Just a bit concerned but have said if its going to make me happy, their happy lol…..I haven’t told my brother, don’t think he would get it at all lol…..I guess it’s normal for family essp parents to worry about this kind of thing 🙂 What do you they will say after you’ve had it done 🙂 xxx

Yh my boyf didn’t either but he’s ok with it now but like yrs I think he’s scared of something Going wrong, as am I ?
I’m not to sure what they will say but it’s too late after I have it done . I just didn’t want all the hassle and lectures about not getting it done as I knew I would obviously be nervous enough without all that. lol. How long will it take u to get to the hospital? Xxx

Yeah I understand that…..Like you say its nerve racking enough without having to try and explain to other people aswell 🙂 I’m sure once you’ve had it done they will be fine 🙂 I’m not sure how long it’s going to take to get there yet….I live in Great Wakering….about 10 minutes from southend so I reckon it will take a good 2/2 and a half hours….Think will have to leave between 4.40- 5.00 lol….I’ll be totally ready to be put to sleep for a nap ha ha….What time are you leaving 🙂 xxx

Hi girls, i only skimmed through your last few posts and I’m not sure wether you’ve had the op yet or not? Let me know?!!!! But I bought one of those V shape pillows and they really helped and it really wasn’t that uncomfortable. I didnt sleep completely up right but at a angle, and to be honest all the pain meds (Which i didnt even need which i took anyway to be safe) completely just knock you out around bed time so you will be fine! Day 3-4 i walked my little puppy and you kind of embrace the cast, who cares what people think at the end of the day your going to look fab! I felt fine and was able to go to the shops etc too, obviously not doing anything strenuous or heavy lifting. But really if your having closed then really i thought it was fine. Still not seeing much of a result though although i know it has been drummed in to my head it can take weeks/months. just annoying when you spend so much money to feel better you want a instant result! Desperately want my boobs done now oooohhhhhhhhhh god!! xxxx

Hey Chloe Had it done yesterday ?? All went well No pain just a dull ache I have a v pillow too Their soooooo comfortable Can’t wait till next Tuesday now lol to see what it looks like ? So pleased it’s done and thank you for all your advice and tips Its been so helpful Hows your nose getting along? Any change yet? ️Xxx
