Hi all,
Posting this thread to track my progress, also because I found these threads so helpful in the build up to my surgery!
I had my operation yesterday at Harley Health Village with Dr Samouris. I am 5’5 8st 12 and started as a 32AA. I was aiming for a large C/small D. At the moment they look no different from the front but incredibly high from the side!! I know it’s only day 1, so not letting myself stress out too much, as I need to wait for them to drop and fluff.
I have to admit I have probably overdone it today. I went for a short walk and out for some lunch, by the time I got back I was in a lot of pain and have dosed up on my pain killers and retired back to bed. I’ve especially been getting a sharp burning pain down the middle of my chest.
Would love to hear/see anyone else’s experiences and how they’re doing so soon after their op 🙂
Will attach before and after pics below xxxx
Hey, I had my op yesterday, 300&325cc HP under the muscle.
I woke up feeling pretty good , was able to do everything myself.. besides get out of bed. The pain spiked a bit this afternoon after going for a walk around the shops, most pain is in my sternum like someone’s done CPR on me😂.
Breasts still very high, pointy and swollen, looking forward to the drop and fluff to see how they will actually look!
I’ve not been taking much medication as I want to know if I’m doing something to cause pain, and also I’m not a fan of taking a lot of meds. I can hear and feel the air/liquid in my breasts which is quite discomforting but that should pass soon hopefully!
Hope you have a speedy recovery and love the results!
Hi Claire, I had my op on Mon 26th at Harley Health Village also! I had a lift and implants and until today I felt like someone was crushing my chest. I’ve not made it out of the house yet so well done to you. I’m dosing up on my painkillers and definitely know when it’s time to take them again. I’ve managed to shower and get dressed and potter about the house but that’s it. I’m hoping I’ll feel a lot better in a few days and make it outside for a walk.
How are you feeling today?
Hi both!!
So happy to hear both your ops went well! And Jen we must have just missed each other! I was the first patient that morning 🙂
Since going for lunch on day one, I quickly learnt to rest lol. Was sofa and bed bound yesterday and sofa bound today, minus a quick 10 minute walk down the high street. I have to admit I had a quick cry yesterday as I was in so much pain, however today I’m feeling a bit better and mainly struggling with tightness and sharp pains down my sternum and in my right nipple!
How are you both looking and feeling today? I’m desperate for mine to drop and go more circular🤣 im so impatient! Xx
Hey,
I had a very broken sleep last night, I kept feeling then need to sit up and for my breasts to be in a different position for a while. I’ve then had to take paracetamol for the first time today. I don’t really have any pain in the breasts themselves but on my sternum and on my sides where there is also some bruising.
I’m classing today as my 2nd day of recovery so I’m hoping all begins to ease off tomorrow and start to settle as I’m the same as you, getting very impatient😂
Im not sure if my post op bra is tight enough, this is the ‘moulding stage’ so should the bra be pulling them together to form a nice cleavage? Mine aren’t really pulled together in my current bra but also don’t want to go too tight. How does yours fit?x
Hi Claire & Brooke,
I must have been just after you! 😃
I’ve not been sleeping great either Brooke, a couple of hours at best then I sit reading my kindle listening to my husband snoring 🤣. I’ve had another day of doing nothing but I’m still very swollen and sore when the painkillers wear off. I can’t believe you’ve managed to get by on only 2 paracetamol!! I had a lift and under the muscle implants (300cc) and I’ve to wear a strap over my bra for a couple of weeks also. It sits quite high and is very uncomfortable and restricting but I’m sure it’ll be worth it. I keep having a peek and so far I’m really happy with how they are looking, it’s early days yet but on day 1 they seemed quite far apart and now there seems to be a nice cleavage forming, like you Claire I’m impatient and just want the end result! I’ve had a bit of bleeding from my stitches on the right, not sure if I should be worried but it’s not sore so I’ll ask when the clinic calls me tomorrow.
Apart from that I think I’m doing ok, I’m glad I’ve got you both to chat to, it’s nice to speak to others who are at the same stage.
The nurse told me to keep the bra tight so maybe just shorten the straps a bit and see how that feels Brooke? Mine isn’t tight that it hurts but the strap I’ve got is holding it all in and I notice a huge difference when I take it off for my permitted 10 mins a day!! Xx
Hi both! I’m now 4 dpo and feel soooo much better. I came off of the cocodamol yesterday as the bloating in my stomach was worse than my breast pain! Today the pain has been manageable with ibuprofen.
To be honest I can’t really tell how tight my compression bra is because I’ve also got a compression strap across the top to push the implants down, and that is REALLY tight. It’s incredibly uncomfortable and when I take it off for a short break, the bra alone feels like a dream in comparison😭.
Who was your surgery with Brooke? I imagine when they put your compression bra on after surgery they’d have told you if you needed to get a size smaller, so I wouldn’t worry.
What size cup do you think you’ll be once they’ve settled? I’m already wondering if I should have gone bigger🤣 need to remind myself that I just wanted something smaller and natural
Hiya, how long did he say to keep your compression strap on for? I think it was 2 weeks but I can’t remember. Like you I feel so much relief once it’s off to shower, I can’t wait to take if off for good. I’m also feeling so much better today.
He told me I’d be 34DD, which I’m more than happy with. I also wanted them a bit smaller and natural xx
I think 2 weeks also! Have you stopped wearing your compression socks? I only wear mine at night now the nurse said it’s okay to have them off as long as I’m mobile during the day.
Oh that’s such a nice size! What were you to start with can I ask?xx
Argh!! I can’t wait to get this strap off!! I’m still wearing my socks but only until Monday and only because I had a bloody clot on my lung a couple of years ago so just being careful.
I was a 34A/B before but after breast feeding 3 kids there was nothing left!! I’m so happy with how there are looking I could literally cry everytime I look at them! I definitely feeling back to normal now, no pain and the bruising and swelling has almost gone too. I’ve got my 1st nurses appt in Birmingham on Tues, I guess she’s just going to change the dressings?
Do you want to swap numbers and keep in touch on WhatsApp? Xx
Hey girls!
Does the compression strap assist in making them sit a little lower for the natural affect? I’m worried just the bra is going to keep them high and circular?
I went with Dr Mounir and they told me I’d be a C/D which I’ll also be over the moon with.
Swelling of my cleavage has gone now so the pain has dropped off a lot, they just don’t feel like mine yet, not sure if it’s lack of sensation or if im just not used to it yet!
Yes happy to swap numbers xx
So stressed from researching about bands that I won’t have the natural teardrop shape, I was never advised to get one or even told about them, I should’ve researched before.. I was keen for them to have that teardrop shape without the teardrop implant which the band appears to assist in.. will it be too late to start wearing now if I order one. I don’t want them sat high and round which the bra seems to encourage xx
Hey Brooke,
My number is 07490233290. I woke up from surgery with the strap on. The nurse said it was to keep the implants in place, which I did wonder as they are under the muscle so not like they can go anywhere!? I’d rather not wear it to be honest, it’s so tight and restrictive. Might be worth asking your patient coordinator if you should have had one but I believe it’s the surgeons preference. Dr Samouris told me about it at my consultation.
So glad your pain and swelling has dropped off, I’m pain free now and the bruising has almost gone too. Feeling a lot more comfortable but just so impatient to get the end result and a proper shower! I keep looking at new bras but I’m going to wait for now and get measured properly. Have you both had a call from the clinic to see how you are getting on? They left a message and said they’d call back today but I’ve heard nothing. I was a little concerned about the bleeding but I’ve not had anymore since sonin guessing it’s all ok as I’ve not had any issues xx
Hi girls! How are you both feeling?? I had my nurse appointment yesterday and had my bandages off. I had a bit of a jump scare with the incisions😭 I don’t know why I’d thought they’d be a lot more healed than this after 1 week 😂 I also managed to have my first proper shower today! No more shallow baths, hurrah. And I’ve been told I can have a small break each day from the bra.
I was told by dr Samouris that the band was to push them down at the top, yeah, as I also wanted teardrop but he said round were better because teardrop sometimes turn. That’s why he chose for me to have dual plane to push the top down more. But as Jen said I think each surgeon has a different opinion on the bands! I don’t think it would be too late to order one if you wanted to Brooke! Maybe contact mya over their text number and ask? I’ve texted it a few times to ask about taking rhe compression socks off, and have breaks from the band and they’re quite responsive.
Mine have definitely dropped a bit now, the left one especially, obviously not sure if that’s because of the band or not though! I am also a large C/D now which I am over the moon about 😊
Also my number is 07500807143 if you wanted to make a gc xxxx
What size did you end up? Asking as am currently a 36AA and am thinking of going dual plane also, I would like to.be a full C.
