Time off work

Just wondering how much time you all had off work after your op?

Hi ya.
Depends what you do for work. I’m in an office and had 9days off – op on Thursday and went back the following Monday. I could have managed it on the Friday to be honest – so a week. But for me it was the effects of pills – I was really dopey and drowsy, couldn’t sleep because the cocodamol gave me bad dreams and then sleeping on my back is so unnatural- but pain wise I was fine after 4-5 days!
I wasn’t able to pull a shirt on for 7-8 days so just think about what you’re wearing too.

Thank you Victoria. I was hoping no more than 1-2 weeks off work.
My job isn’t strenuous, but I do use my arms a lot for Sign Language as I work with deaf clients, so I’m hoping it won’t be too bad!! x
