Time off work/ pain

Hi, I’m just wondering how long everyone felt they needed off work? and how bad the pain really is! I work in an office and will probably need to go back a week after the op! would this be too soon!?xx

As much info as possible for this worrier pleeease!xxx

Hi Hannah I work in an office too and am due back at work tomorrow after my op on 22nd. I had unders too but I think after a week you will be fine to go back to work, just make sure you take it easy! Good luck x

I had just under 2 weeks off and also work in an office. To be totally honest I couldn’t have gone back after a week and I did struggle a bit my first week back – mainly due to discomfort and sensitivity that seems to come on in the afternoon. But that was my experience and you may well be different. I think if you can have 2-weeks off then that’s ideal but if you have no choice then you kinda just need to get on with it. I had plenty of meds in my bag just in case. I was lucky as could hide away in my office and shut the door if I was really struggling!! If u can have more time off then I’d advise u take it. After all we spend so much money on these boobs u need to rest properly! X

Thank you both, im worrying a little about the time off situation! and everyone’s pain and experiences seems to be so different, one girl said she went back after 4 days!! I guess as long as i can drive to and from and sit there and type i should be fine and my colleagues will hopefully be understanding!!xxx

Hey chic, i had under the muscle (apparantly more painful) an went back to my active house cleaning job 5 days after!!! Im 13 days PO with no discomfort whatsoever xxx

I didnt take pain killers either, everyones different xxx

I started off as a 30b an had 450 in my right an 425 in my left, once the first couple of days are out of the way you’ll be flying through the healing process!!! Xxx

Hi, I had 300 unders & took 2 weeks off however had to take a third week off (starting tomorrow) but I do a manual job. I’d have been fine to go back to a none manual job tomorrow but one week post op I was still in such a lot of pain with understand. My right boob still isn’t happy but I drove for the first time today. Was a but uncomfortable but getting better with each day. Good luck 🙂 xx

i booked 2 weeks as i am having unders and work in a place where heavy lifting and running around like a headless chicken are hard to avoid! xx

Is anyone 6 weeks post op? How are you feeling? I want to book in gor surgery but have two weddings 6 weeks after when I could book in! Do you that this is enough time or to wait until after these occasions? Obviously will be wearing dresses so a nice bra is a must and not a sports bra Lol! Or do you still have to wear sports bra after 6 weeks? Xx sorry for the overload of questions!

Kari my nurse told me to wear my sports bra for 6 weeks, you should be fine for the weddings! Xxx
