Today is the day I get my op 🙂 my admission time is eleven! Been awake since about four feeling sick with nerves lol. I have a few questions –
Do I take my v pillow into the hospital or leave it in car for after?
Can I start putting moisturiser on like the top of my boobs once I feel up to it but avoid the insicion area?
And I bought arnica. But it’s the ones you have to chew or let dissolve under the tounge. Has anyone had these and just swallowed like pills? lol there’s no way I can chew into a tablet or let it dissolve :(.

    Thank you xxx

Hi, I’m 3wpo tomorrow, I left my v pillow in the car, didn’t need it in the hospital.
The arnica tablets actually taste like sweets so I would try let it dissolve under ur tongue. Can’t see any harm in just sealing them tho if you wanted as they will dissolve in your tummy.
I put moisturiser literally just at the top but only a thin layer and make sure it’s completely rubbed in.
Honestly don’t worry about today just try relax and enjoy.
Hope this helps. Good luck and wishing you a speedy recovery xxxx

Ohhh good luck today hun! I left my v pillow in the car because there was already lots of pillows on the bed to prop you up after surgery and tbh i was up and about not long after having it done but everyone’s different so it’s your choice.. the Arnica tablets honestly are like sweets not tablets and there tiny.. i chew mine and they taste nice! There like the icing balls you get on cakes surprisingly lol Xx

I left my v pillow in the car for the journey home, the beds are comfy enough 🙂

Definitely use moisturiser or bio oil straight away, just as you said avoid incision area. The sides tend to get really dry so don’t miss those.

Arnica is great although they recommend starting it a few days pre surgery. After surgery I still took the same dose though which was 2 tablets 4x a day, it really helped I had no bruising. I let them dissolve under the tounge and they don’t taste bad at all. Good luck today! Xx

@hannahlaura what is Arnica and what is it for if you don’t mind me asking? Xx

@becky22 It’s a homeopathic medicine that helps in the prevention of bruising, some say it helps with the pain as well but I’m not sure about that. You cannot touch the tablet as that stops the effect, the device they come in is like a tube.

I normally bruise so easily. I took the arnica religiously from 5 days pre surgery and then 5 days after and had next to no bruising. Xx

@hannahlaura ah thanks doll, I’ve never seen it mentioned on here before so was just wondering. I’ll definitely give it a go when I get mine, I tend to bruise quite easily too xx

@hannahlaura so you just start using it a few days before surgery and then afterwards too? Xx
