Well today’s the day I have thought about for about 10 years but never had the guts to follow it through although I been to a number of consultations at different places over the last few years and booked surgery then backed out two weeks leading up to the date scared of the outcome. Reading the forum has helped me and I’m sharing my experience for anyone having or considering a Ba to give a true account of my experience and hopefully give anyone else an idea on what to expect. I have found reading other people’s experience interesting and reassuring so hope mine helps…
So I booked my date late Feb and secured my date with a disposit without seeing the surgeon first, saw my PC at MYA Leeds, called Aimee , my ,surgeon is Dr Mounir. I’ve seen my surgeon twice since my initial consultation, once in Leeds then in Manchester on friday as I couldn’t decide on size. I was sent my admission time via Email late afternoon on Friday to have surgery in Preston. My admission time given was 11am and I am currently on the Train from New Pudsey to Preston.. 🙂

Thank you…it took me 15 mins to arrive at the hospital via taxi from the train station and cost £10.60. Wasn’t waiting long before I was taken to my room, the nurse has been to ask some questions, did the usual tests like blood pressure and pregnancy test. Been told I am the last of my admission time so looking at early afternoon… just sat with gown, paper knickers and stockings on, now just waiting to be marked up… the nurse I’ve come across is Lynn and she’s really nice. Xx

Hey Hannah just abit axious!! And starving lol! I don’t think I will be going for a while yet, I’ve been allowed to have abit of water. I’m just watching TV although the signal breaks a bit sometimes, think I may might have a snooze as I didn’t sleep very well but I’m terrible at sleeping during the day, even when I worked nights I struggled — I’m most worried about waking up, are you in much pain?? I once had a breast abscess and after I woke up from that I felt horrible and in a bit of pain..xx

Well I’ve around to wait now, seen the anaesthetist, seen the other doctor and finally just seen my surgeon Dr Mounir. He had just marked me up with a marker pen and taken pics, finalised my papers and probably given my final signature pre op. Can’t wait to eat if anything lol!! My next post will hopefully be post op!! Xx

Hey cleo thanks for checking on me lol!! I’m back in my room quite sore would say pain is moderate atm, eating a biscuit so can some pain relief I think , I’ve had a nasty cold so they mentioned my oxygen levels dropped. I was meant to have unders but the Dr said they looked too high so he went over. I think I was out for just over an hour, not sure, actually cannot believe I’ve done it lol – quite sore chest is tight, more I come round the better I’m feeling 🙂 xx

I think if you write emojis the old school way they show up but using actual emojis shows as question marks… just realising as I am doing with brackets and colans lol 🙂 😀 xx

Yayyyyy! You’re all done! Not good about oxygen levels ???? Bit scary. Hopefully now having overs means you can heal up faster and with less pain. Are you staying overnight or home this eve?

Can you see much or are you heavily strapped up?

Hope the pain relief kicks in fast & you can have another little snooze.xxx

Can see them already Dr mounir doesn’t strap but you have to wear a macom bra. Yeah my cold was the worst I ever had, you could hear it on my chest since Thursday, I thought it would have cleared up by today but it was alot better than it has been… but worried the overs won’t look natural but the surgeon knows best I guess!! They look huge but they will I’m used to my little sacks lol I will try upload a pic, I know it’s a bit of a struggle for some reason – they’re quite apart too but think that’s normal…not had extra pain relief yet but I feel quite a bit better now I’ve come around a bit more, ”tis really tight and feels a bit heavy ..il have a go at adding pic xx

Oh yeah so glad it’s over, now the road to recovery, from what I’ve read day 3 the worst? Feeling loads better than I did when I came back to room haven’t actually had any extra pain killers, eaten my sandwich had a brew, put my bra and my own comfy boxer knickers on and a slouchy vest top so feeling comfortable, chest is a bit tight but that’s expected – feeling pleased with results so far…!

Cheers Hannah!! Everything’s good at the mo apart from being awake at 4am ha! Not in pain just awake with my mind racing and but difficult to sleep upright as I’m sure everyone struggles with this but I’ve had a good chuck of sleep and feel ok.
Yeah really please so far, they are big atm didn’t tell anybody at work I was having the procedure, in fact I’ve hardly told anyone!! I didn’t really want to broadcast to work colleagues and hoped they would be able to be disguised In slouchy blouses- who am I kidding haha…xx

Aw they look so good! Glad your feeling ok day 1 and 2 is definitely the worst and each day you feel better! I wouldn’t worry so much about them being overs, your surgeon obviously thought you had enough breast tissue to carry it off so I’m sure they’ll look great. I had no choice and had to go over as id breastfed 2 kids but I’m glad as it’s quicker recovery and you see results sooner and from the girls photos on here they don’t look anymore fake then unders. Enjoy your new boobies and hope your feeling ok today 🙂 xx

Oh thanks Hun, feeling quite tight today the pain isn’t too bad although just taken some painkillers been awake since 4 trolling through the forum looking for pictures ha – I breast fed two children too, he did try to get me to go bigger but I refused so yeah hopefully will carry these well – somehow I have to pick one of my children up from school today, I was thinking I’d walk but it’s quite far so il probably have to get a taxi as I feel more pain when stood up but I can’t sit still so will probably potter about all day xx
