Hey girls tomorrow is the day I’ve been waiting for for a long while now. I’m so excited but the nerves are kicking in mainly over the anaesthetic haha. I already been promted on things to take with me. Is there any last minute advice or things any girls can let me know about? Thank you ???? Xxx
I had my surgery yesterday at Preston and I was more scared about the anaesthetic then anything else! Honestly though was not that bad at all. The only thing I would say is I was really sick afterwards and my hand did ache quite a bit when I woke up from the needle still in. Not painful though just achy so don’t worry! You’ll be fine x
I can’t even remember going to sleep haha! You’ll go into a room where there will be a nurse and the aneathesist, they’re both lovely (I was at Preston too, last week). I was just chatting away then I woke up in recovery with boobs! You might be abit shivery/shakey when you first wake up, that’s normal it’s just the stuff coming out your body apparently xx
Aw haha thanks Tyler made me feel so much better. I hope it’s like that for me my worst nightmare is waking up mid operation ???????? but yeah I’m making sure I bring lots of food and drink for when I wake up ( if I want it ) my admission time is 11AM so I’ll be probably hungry. I know they give u like toast and things though haha @tyler xx
Hi I had my surgery last Friday in London.
Anaesthetic team are really good, my aneathetist was funny and put me at ease. I think because I work in a hospital and have been in theatres I’ve seen the whole procedure of being put to sleep so I felt okay about it.
He was chatting away to me and said he’s going to give me some happy drugs and I’ll feel really good and my god, I felt them hit me. It was amazing! And then I woke up in recovery haha.
I felt very nauseous after surgery, but I expected that cos I had been with previous ops and it’s quite common. I really struggled to eat my toast despite complaining of being so hungry prior to surgery.
I had 2 cups of tea and then later that night I ate which was best for me cos I no longer felt sick.
Hope all goes well!
Oh my.l goodness Demi – that’s one of my biggest fears too is waking up mid surgery! I’m in on Monday in Fitzroy and getting really jumpy now! But really looking forward to bed rest!
Best of luck Hun it will all go better than you expect I bet xxx
@courtny aw really haha, that sounds wonderful to me! I hope they give me some happy drugs haha, what time was you in and out of the hospital people say around 4-5hours generally. Yeah i’ll just have to see how I am afterwards cause I know everyone reacts differently to things. Thanks Courtney xxx
@lorna I know its all ive been thinking about what if it doesn’t work on me?! hahaha silly thoughts and aw thank you I hope so! i’ll be sure to update anyone who private messages me or whatever xx
Yes let us know Hun! Will be thinking of you xxx
Good luck tomorrow Demi, I’m Thursday! Nervs kicking in now! lol Hope all goes well and let us know how you get on xx
Hi Demi,
I am 13 wpo, don’t worry all will be fine and done before you know it, like the other girls said you will just feel nauseous after anaesthetic and groggy but you will have new boobs, just try and focus on the end result. Mr Traynor is excellent, I had him and he really made me feel at ease when he came in to see me before the op. Good luck tomorrow.xx
Yeah I had overs and was a day case. I still feel completely fine but my nurse called me today and said that may change by tomorrow because I still may be drugged up lol we will see! I hope everything goes okay tomorrow! It’s no where near as scary as you think it’s gonna be xx
