Tongue piercing

I have my tongue pierced and obviously I will need to take it out for the op on Wednesday. I’ve heard they can close up pretty quickly and I’m guessing I will be pretty out of it to put it back in straight after. Has anyone experienced this? I’ve had it so long I’m not sure I want to remove it just yet x

I ent had mine in for well over a year and I can still put my bar in, I don’t think it will close that quick xx
