transgender woman needing info

Hi all I was wondering if there is anyone, not necessarily another transgender woman,who could give me some info on waiting times for breast augmentation please?how long before I can have a consultation etc if possible,thank u Charlotte xx

Hi Charlotte, you can contact your local MYA office and arrange an initial consultation, from there they will book you into see the surgeon when he or she is in the area. If your happy with the surgeon you book yourself into the available date the surgeon has. The whole process took me 2-3 months so not that long. Good luck xx

I rang up on the Wednesday got a consultation with my pc the next day! Met my surgon the next Wednesday & ive just had my pre op, my surgery is the 25th but I chose to wait a few weeks so I could have holidays off work but it can happen as quickly or as not as you want.. Deffinatly give them a call ☺️ Xx

Hi Natasha,thank you for your reply,I spoke to MYA today and I was informed that as I am transgender I may have to wait until I have been on hormones for 6 months and also the gender reassignment programme for two years,although the person I spoke with was not 100 % certain this was the case the thought of having to wait that long is quite upsetting,thank u 4 your reply hun xx

Oh my gosh! I think it’s awful they make you go on these programmes and wait such an extensive amount of time! It’s just delaying your happiness. If the person you spoke to wasn’t sure I’d still goto the appointment and visit the surgeon just to find out what you need to do for sure. xx

You are definitely correct hun,it is delaying my happiness,I couldn’t put it any better,unfortunately I can’t even have a consultation yet so to even find out anything other than what is on the website, I can see that they want people to be sure before they have surgery but it is an awfully long time to know you are sure but still have to wait xx

I suppose the sooner you start the programme the better, any questions don’t be afraid to message me or any of the girls, wish you all the best and hopefully you get it done sooner rather than later ❤️
