I live 4 hours away from London and I will be travelling alone. Will I be well enough to get a train back on my own the same day? I am really unsure on what I can do.

No hunnie. You need to have someone with you on the discharge from the clinic.
You need to provide your chaperone’s details on your pre op apptm.
You won’t be able to even dress yourself after the surgery or lift a thing (most cases). Someone needs to take your hospital bag and you shouldn’t be left alone during first 24 hours. Anyway, clinic cannot discharge you without your chaperone next to you.
Believe me, you’ll be still drowsy and under drug influence. You can consider staying overnight but anyway, there will have to be someone with you xx

Hey Chloe, I second what Monica has said you will definitely need someone with you on discharge. It’s a must to have someone with you for the first 24/48 hours. Everyone reacts differently to anaesthetic, you’ll probably feel very drowsy from pain relief and anaesthetic. I wouldn’t have felt like travelling alone after surgery. Good luck with your surgery xx

Hi Hun, there’s no way you can be alone, especially to get a train back. You need a chaperone. I don’t think the hospital would discharge you knowing that. Please be careful. You will be very fragile and drowsy still. Xxx
