Thanks. So why do people go armed to the operation with bio oil? What is that used for before 6 weeks? x

    Menu

I dont know why, because you cant even use any form of products on your body 24 hours before surgery, deodorant, perfumed soaps etc! Nothing is used before after you are given he all clear to shower you are ok to have water run over your incisions bit you cant be submerged in any sort of water, you also cant get shampoo or any other products on your scars. Only after your six week check and being given the all clear, you can submerge in water and have products on your scars!! xxx

You can rub bio oil or other stretch mark creams on your boobs before 6 weeks just not near scars. Some people use oil prior to op so the skin stretches better but you can’t use it 24hrs before op xx

I used bio oil before and after I just made sure it went nowhere near my scars until the nurse said I could use it on my scars at my 6 week check! I used cotton wool balls to apply the bio-oil though to be careful it didn’t drip onto the scars xoxo

My nurse said not to rub anything anywhere on my boobs as it is classed as massaging which can cause bleeding or something, she’s said to wait 6 weeks. I guess every nurse says different tho 🙂 x
