Hey girls! I recently met my surgeon Gary Traynor and he was lovely! He told me I had tubular breasts which I wasn’t aware of, and he also said that’s why my nipples were slightly larger, I have actually never had a problem with my nipples more just the shape, so he gave me the two options of just having a normal procedure just breast implant or having the implant and a nipple reduction as my nipples could stretch and go bigger once there in, has anyone else had this before? I’m really struggling with what I should do now! Sorry for the long post ???? Xx
Hey, I had slight tubular boobs and larger nipples and same as you only wanted the breast implants however my surgeon wasn’t happy doing just the implants as said she wouldn’t be happy with the results afterwards and neither would I. This is because my boobs would remain tubular so wouldn’t be round and my nipples would get even bigger. I didn’t like my nipples to begin with but never thought about having a reduction as an option for money reasons and scarring etc and because the main thing that bothered me was the size of my breasts. My surgeon said I’d need an uplift and nipple reduction. Not everyone needs an uplift with tubular boobs but I was one of the unlucky ones! I was so shocked and upset when I first heard all this because I didn’t want anymore done as just having one thing done scared me but also didn’t want my nipples to be any bigger as I did hate them already and so consious of them and just assumed my boobs were automatically become round with the implants. Anyway I ended up having the uplift and nipple reduction and implants and was the best thing I ever did. I would have been so unhappy with just the implants and now can’t believe I have boobs that are round and with normal sized nipples. I got to see under my bandages two weeks ago and get them taken off on Thursday but the scarring looks good already and am so happy with everything and my nipples look so good haha. I know some people who have had tubular breasts and just had implants and are having to go back because they’re unhappy with nipple size or the fact they are still tubular however I think some people can have an implant and it does make the shape more round and I don’t think everyone’s nipples stretch loads and some people I know just got the implants and are so happy so everyone is different but just think about it as if you’re going through all that and spending money you want them to be perfect and for you to be really happy. Also depends if larger nipple size would bother you or not. Obviously it’s good to get the least amount of surgery as poss but also if it will bother you then definitely think about it. I hope my personal story has helped you a bit and thought I would reply to your post as I felt the same as you and could have really done with knowing other people had gone through the same thing 🙂 xx
Hey I had BA and nipple reduction, I’ll attach my before and afters, I had 350cc HP x
I have been told the exact same thing today Emma, so unsure what to do!
I have only just seen all these replies!! I’m so rubbish at working this! Still haven’t decided, and am meeting. Another surgeon on Wednesday x
@emmahaf I’m quite tubular and my surgeon is Mahdi. He recommended a nipple lift for me so im having that as well as the implants.. I have quite large nipples too (about the size of a £2 coin) but he said once the implants are in the rest of my boobs will be bigger so my nipples will look more in proportion. They look a lot bigger now because my boobs are so small. The lift is just cutting the top half of the nipple and lifting it up to get rid of the tubular shape, he said he didn’t really want to reduce the size of my nipples because you have a scar around the whole nipple so just having the lift reduces the scarring by half 🙂 the main thing that made me agree to it is that if I’d gone through all the hassle of BA surgery and woke up with still tubular (but bigger!) boobs I wouldn’t be happy. Implants dont correct shape they just enhance what you already have and I’d hate to have to go back for more surgery for such a minor thing that could have been done the first time around. I speak to another lady on here who’s had the exact same thing done and hers look amazing and she recommended the nipple lift 100% so I would go for it! Just think how gutted you’d be if you had the surgery and wasn’t happy and had to go back again.. Also if you wasnt sure you had tubular breasts in the first place I’d research them, just Google some images and see if yours look alike to give you more of an idea 🙂 I’ve always known mine weren’t a ‘normal’ shape and I can’t wait to get them corrected as I’m quite self conscious about it, I never go bra-less except for bed. Good luck! X
I had tubular breast and had my ba 6 weeks ago Friday! I bloody love them and it’s the best thing I’ve done.
Originally I didn’t realise I had tubular breast, I just thought they was strangely shaped until I started looking into it. When my surgeon Mr Mahdi recommended the nipple tuck I was slightly shocked as I didn’t think I had issues with my nipple, more the shape of the breast anyways I went ahead and took his advice.
My scars are healing lovely and you can barley tell I’ve had the nipple done.
Honestly girls if your thinking it it then please do go ahead. It’s the best thing I’ve done.
Best of luck xx
Hiya i had tubular breasts! Every surgeon told me i would need an uplift but i saw dr marcellino and he said just an implant with areola reduction! I am happy however my nipples have stretched back out so they are large still BUT not as big as before 🙂
Thanks for your reply’s girls there so helpful!
I do definitely have tubular I searched it as soon as I got out of my consultation last time, my nipples are actually probably around a £2 coin size aswell, they don’t droop to much but maybe the nipple lift is what I should do rather than just whole nipple reconstruction! I have my consultation with Dr Netri next week and a few girls have told me he is fab with tubular so fingers crossed and I will see what he advises. I hope your both recovering well and loving your new boobs! Xx
I love love love my boobies. I’m so much happier, may I just add though that the size of the nipple for me wasn’t an issue, I don’t think I had a big or overly sized nipple. With the ba I also didn’t think they would ‘grow’
Anyhow the main reason for it my surgeon said was to take the ‘tubular (pointy)’ look away and it’s done exactly that.
I didn’t think my tiny pointy awful shaped boobs would ever look nice, I thought better but not nice. Honestly I love them.
Wishing you lots of luck xx
