Two weeks before surgery, worried 300 high round isn't going to be enough! Started by: Storm in a B Cup

    Hi all,

I’m 5ft 2, weigh 135 lbs, and I am currently wearing a padded (scaffolded, underwired, invisible strings and gaffer tape to pull up any bit of useful flesh) 34 C, but my breasts are a very flat, sad C (probably more like a B) with no upper pole fullness at all. 5 years of breastfeeding (when I was up to a DD at one stage) has put paid to that!

So after about 20 years of thinking about it, I decided to have a BA. Originally it was suggested by the practice manager that I could go to around 350-365ccs high round overs, and I wouldn’t need a lift.

Then last week I saw the surgeon. The maximum he will use in me is a 300 high profile round. He won’t budge. It has to go under the muscle, and I need a nipple lift. So a large change from what was originally suggested! His reasons are that I have a very high underbreast fold, combined with a small petite ribcage. The surgeon says there isn’t room on my chest for anything larger, but I am concerned that as he won’t be drawn on a cup size (or even if I will go up one or two from where I am now, irrespective of the actual letter it is) that I’m going to be going through a lot of discomfort for little reward and a longer recovery. I train for powerlifting, and I ride motorcycles, so giving up these two things for 3 months is a big ask!

So, my question is, if any of you have similar stats to me and have had 300 HP unders, can you tell me if this has made a significant difference? I look at the padding in my current bra and that’s probably equivalent to 100ccs! I wanted to be a D or DD again…. any experiences like this please ladies?

    Thanks in advance

I have just had 300cc unders, was a B before size 8, 5’7. I’m only 3 weeks post op so it’s possible mine will get bigger with drop & fluff.
I would say they look now similar to before – except I’ve swapped the padding for silicone! I wore a lot of padding before so they don’t look hugely different with clothes. It depends on what you want to achieve. I wish I could of gone bigger but that was the biggest I was offered. But now they will look great in a bikini, low cut tops, also I can still wear padding and make them look even bigger 🙂

I think it depends on what you’re hoping for, I didn’t want anything massive just something to give me some extra confidence and I’m so happy with them, they look really natural but a lot nicer than before. For me it was worth the money and inconvenience xx

    Thanks Sian,

I did the rice test tonight, and it does look a little bigger than with the padding. I didn’t want huge (I wouldn’t know what to do with them!) but a size up from before would be welcome!

What profile did you have? It’s occurred to me I’m having dual plane too, rather than complete unders.

I feel exactly the same. My surgeon has suggested very similar size to you but overs and i am too worried they wont be big enough. I am currently a 30 b/c, 5ft 5 and 59kg, wearing size 6/8. Due to weight loss i’m having a full uplift but i want to be a DD. Just praying they turn out how i want them to!! Xxx

I think this is the problem – I’m a very flat C, so the lift is necessary, but in my head they are taking some away (even if it is only skin!). I really wanted to be a DD but he will not be drawn on the size – even if he said ‘you’d need that bra probably 2 or 3 cup sizes bigger’ would be helpful!.

The last time I lost weight has really taken it’s toll, and I think I’m quite ‘peccy’ from lifting heavy weights, so they have to be dual plane. Fingers crossed it’s worth it! x

    I’m similar to you, a flat 34 c now. Been offered 275 285 and 315 and can’t decide!x

I used to be a 32/34 f/g cup so to go to a 30 b/c is a massive change and i really miss my old boobs x

I’m 50kg, 5’5 and a size 6-8. I was a 34A pre op and had 300cc HP partials. I’m now measuring a 32/34DD but in my opinion they don’t look like a DD. When I’m dressed I feel like I look the same as I did when I wore my padded bras. I’m having some issues with the profile so may be having revision surgery. I’m hoping I can get more CC’s if I do because they look a lot smaller when they’re actually in and than what cup size you are. 300cc was my absolute maximum at the time x

    Hi Laurane,

I think the padding issue is definately the problem! I was there squishing the cup of my bra flat on Wednesday, trying to work out how much that took up! We figured the padding in my bra is about 100ccs, but of course, this is all in the bottom part of the bra, and it simply pushes the boob up! I think I might only go up a cup size, but I guess at least I would fit it.

What issues are you having with the profile, if you don’t mind me asking?

LIS212 if they offered me 315 I’d jump at it. I can’t even get him to go up 25 ml. I guess because I have a short torso, narrow chest and a high underbust fold, he is unable to put something in that there isn’t space for. He was there with the book looking at measurements, and stated clearly that anything bigger would be up in my neck. I could have had anatomicals and gone 350, but that wouldn’t give me the upper plane fullness I want and the risk of them turning is too high with my lifestyle.

Suppose at least smaller ones won’t get in the way of my bench and deadlifts!

I also had dual plane not complete unders. I’m not sure what profile I had I just let my surgeon choose and they turned out great!

If you do the rice test with a sports bra with no padding and see what you think, mine turned out almost the same as the rice test, maybe a tiny bit smaller. I would be very surprised if you didn’t go up 1 cup size at least with 300 although if you have a lot of muscle it might take a bit longer for them to drop and get bigger. I definitely cant fit comfortably in my old bras xx

    @storminabcup I was an A cup & 350 sent me to a DD/E

    Menu

Rice test all afternoon yesterday (surprised at how well a pair of child’s socks fit the same profile as the HP implants).

I did measurements with my current most padded bra and the rice.

Ribcage is 30, no bra sagging boobs are 34, padded bra is 35.5 and rice bags 38. So there should be a difference, even if it’s not much.

I also tried on some of my existing clothes with the rice in. They still all fit, but then I’ve usually had to buy to fit my bum. I’ll try and upload photos from y phone, but I still think they look small.

Interesting to hear that it’ll come up smaller than the rice! It’s such a big call to make, isn’t it? 300 on one person will send them from a B to an E, and on another will only bump them a size and a half. Thank you all for your input!

@storminabcup- I have a large gap between my boobs and the profile is too narrow at the base for my chest. You can really see it when I lie down. I think a moderate profile with a wider base would be better for me but he mentioned that might push my nipples out to the side so not sure if he will change the profile or just make a tighter pocket to keep them more central on my chest.

    @storminabcup How’d surgery go?

    Menu

@X Surgery wen’t well, back at hotel now, going home tomorrow.

Surgeon said he really struggled to get 300 in, they are up in my armpits a bit at the moment, only about an inch and a half from my collarbone! Swelling is quite bad on the pecs though, so hopefully they will look better in the morning. Will try and attach photos when I can. x

    Menu

Laurane, my gap is wide-ish, but that’s my physiology. he said he’s right on the edge of the pocket, barely enough room! So I’m hoping a push up bra will sort the cleavage out!

Sorry to hear you have to have it done again though.

@storminabcup ha! I was training back today & we swapped for free weights cause the boobs were in my way … All still so new to me & I still sometimes find out a bit strange

Glad op went well & got the largest size you could go for, sounds like the surgeon thought it over when doing the surgery … Spoke to a mom at the school the other day and she’s roughly my size & went to Mexico to have hers done. They look awful being honest. She’s looking into having them redone soon. Whoever did her surgery decided to put 600cc in (she’d asked for 300 but had mentioned she would probably go bigger again in a few years so thinking he just went for it) I like to think the surgeons know what will look & fit best

Omg funny thought … I’ve taken most of the padding out of my bras but might have to try on a padded push up one & see how big they look 😉

@X one is dropping and less swollen, the other still in my armpit at the moment – no idea how they would have fitted in 600 to someone our size ish!
