Hi I’ve had my consultation with dr traynor today. He’s measured me at a c cup and in order to get to a dd he’s offered me 450/485. I forgot to ask him though if he would do under or overs and my pc said he usually does overs. 2 of my friends have had him and he’s gone under but they haven’t had a lot of breast tissue. Another friend has just text saying definitely have unders as over drop quicker. Argh it’s so confusing haha. Can anyone help?
I don’t know about the dropping quicker if you have overs, but it seems to be girls with not a lot of breast tissue have unders so the implant doesn’t show so much. I’m a 34a/b and am having overs.
Thanks Sarah. Have you chosen to have overs then?
Hi Hun I was a 34b and my surgeon told me to have unders as there was less chance of seeing the edges of the implant. He also said they won’t sag half as quick because the uncle acts as an internal bra. (I’m not saying that overs sag quick just quicker than unders apparently) any questions feel free do add me Hun xx
Unders are supposed to last longer in terms of looks. But that doesn’t mean there right for everyone because there not. Yeah it was weird it felt like someone stood on my chest and just achet and sore with a horrible morning boob!! But all in all they were done not a lot of pain I was expecting to e in aging xx
I have had both and I will say unders for me were a nightmare in terms of how they felt, they were uncomfy and I was always aware of them, if you can get away with overs do go for them. Unders/overs actually don’t differ at all in terms of sagging or drooping if you support them correctly with good bras as unders are actually only under at the top portion of the breast, the bottom part is still over the pectoral muscle. Having unders act as an internal bra just is not the case, unless they are FULL true unders which no one really does anymore and no one at MYA does this at all, an internal bra is a separate procedure that you can have at the same time. When people refer to unders they generally mean partials, it’s a different term for the same thing. There isn’t much use in asking people here if you should go for unders or overs as everyone will generally favour what they have themselves. From my own personal exp, I wish I never had unders, you do damage to your muscle that can never be repaired properly, anatomicly your breas isn’t *supposed* to sit behind the muscle, it’s not how your chest wall is designed. The general benefit to unders is to stop ripples which if you have a good amount tissue will be no problem for you, also, the soft touch implant has 100% fill in the shell so this allows smaller ladies to get away with overs, I had a mastectomy on the left side and was an A cup on the other, I have no ripples and a natural looking result. Good luck! x
Thanks ladies.
