Hey girls! Was just wondering, how did you decide between having unders or overs because I am really unsure about which to go for! I want to have a good cleavage and I feel like overs will give me the cleavage I want because my boobs are currently so far a part that I do not have any cleavage at all! But my mom really wants me to have unders because she believes that they are “safer”. Can you help me with this? xxxx
Hi court sometimes it’s not really your choice, my surgeon told me unders as i didn’t have enough breast tissue for overs to cover the implant so would of really noticed the outline of the implant if u know what i mean? therefore i had to have under the muscle
so you might not get an option but both have pros and cons x x
Hi court yes it depends on your breast tissue if you have enough for overs.. I had different surgeons give diff advice so went with partials – part under part over (dual plane) .. My surgeon told me the cleavage is nothing to do with the implant but depends on your body shape of chest and obs bra can make. I if I had the choice again would defo go for overs purely for the less pain and quicker healing time.
I’m having this same dielema! 🙁 my first surgeon swayed me more towards having overs but my surgeon I have now said I should have under with me been so petite.. My surgery is Tuesday too so need to decide fast! Xx
Thank you so much girls!! xxxxx
@alex1992 I’ve been told that I have enough tissue for overs but they suggested that I should have unders too due to being petite so I’m very confused! thankfully my surgery isn’t booked yet because I would be stressed out about it! I feel like I want overs due to the quicker healing time but if the surgeon says they think unders are best then maybe we should just listen to what they say! I hope it goes well for you!! xxxxx
It’s so hard isn’t it! I’d got my head around having overs big now I think I am going to go under, have another consult and do some research and see what you feel is best for you, least you have time to make the right choice, thank you loverly I hope it does for you too! Xx @court
I had my op on the 17th
In novemeber when i was looking into it I was so dead set on overs due to recover time and under the muscle made me more scared…
After seeing my surgeon He explained to me that I am small and if i was wanting massive boobs if i went over rippling is more likely to occur and also seeing the edge of the implant and so on.
The recovery may be longer for unders ( i weight train 6 times a week in the gym this is why my recovery is long) but I have had no issues at all 3 n half weeks on im fine.
Even to begin with i was not in that much pain and also the recovery for me has been easy. I think with the implant been under i’ve felt like they are alot safer ( which is probably nonsence)
Just look into the pros and cons for you, They do say Unders look more natural if you are prone to loosing any weight if you do and also because the muscle is over its just glides over the implant ( if that makes any sense)
Pick wisely. you are paying alot and its a big investment
@ambermitchell Thank you so much!! I weight train too so I am dreading having to have loads of time out of the gym to recover! But this has really helped! I am glad that you’ve had a successful recovery!! xxxx
Court my surgeon told me I only need four weeks off from the gym and horse riding, whereas my PC said six weeks. I was dreading having time off after my surgery, worried I’d literally turn into a potato with big boobs haha xx
Ive taken 3 weeks , they say 6 weeks before doing heavy upper body stuff
My pc said if feels odd or hurts obviously stop
I was the same as u couldnt decide.
I wanted the natural look so wanted unders but then seeing pictures on her over seemed to look more natural.
I eventually decided overs 2day before my operation less invasive and went over.
All my family have commented saying they don’t look fake at all.
Im 11dpo and had 400cc
