i understand unders are under the chest muscle, but what are partials?
Completely confused as to the difference with these aswell!! haha,
i’ve been offered under the muscle but have read a lot of people having partials, really haven’t a clue, xx
I’ve got my first consultation next Monday, I’ve got so many questions haha! What size did you get offered? I don’t understand all of this 250cc or 300cc it’s confusing! Xx
hey! ive seen a few diagrams on here which are pretty helpful so might be worth having a trawl through the coversations. I think its partially in the muscle though?
the cc’s are how much fluid is in the implant, 150cc-200cc i think is classed as a 1 cup size.
I didnt know the difference a few weeks back, but ask your patient coordinator and surgeon lots of questions and they will be able to clear things up for you 🙂 x
if you go on the boobie bible there are explanations of everything :)…..
Overs – implants placed over the muscle
Unders – implants placed over the muscle
Partials – implants between the fascical tissue and muscle
Thanks Hun! Xx
Partials and unders are the same just different surgeons call them different. Over are under the skin on top of muscle. But partials/ unders are under the muscle. The muscle runs from top centre diagonally to the bottom outer .
Okay thank you, is the cost different from unders or overs?
Make sure you write them all down, i completely forgot to do that and then forgot half of the questions so have to keep messaging on here and my coordinator!! haha,
I have been offered 350cc or 375cc as i roughly want to be around a D/DD and i am a 32b at the moment so have been offered these two sizes,
Your surgeon will be able to tell you which ones best for you to have depending on your frame and what look you actually want. xx
Over
Parts
Fully under
Thanks Jordan, hope it all goes well for you!
Thanks Courtney, do you know if the recovery is longer for unders?
So under the muscle the implants are fully covered by muscle and overs are are placed over the muscle pasts are half under the muscle at the top and come over the muscle at bottom I would say unders look diffrent from parts and over the muscle as the muscles keeps them high up and apart so you don’t get much clavgae like you would overs n parts I’ve gone from under to over now xx
As you can see from the pics on the human model to your left side can see how they would place them in your body it also says that under the muscle not parts is like a support bra as the implant is fully covered and supported it comes with less risk then the other two placments and your meant to get a longer life out them for I had problems with my unders as right muscle latched on to my implant so every time I felxed that side the muscle would grab and pull my implant out of place which is shame as I loved how they sat high up xx
To be fair chick on the recovery it depends on you if take easy for the 1st 2 weeks you should be fine the pain is just the same as overs when you get your implants your bit brushed in bashed and feel like you got a car sat on your chest but if you keep up with your Meds you should be fine xx
I’ve been reading up on other people’s posts and by the sounds of it if you haven’t got any breast tissue your more likely to have unders? I’m just a bit worried it sounds more painful than overs.
When your muscle latched onto the imprint how did they fix it?
Many of reasons they place them full under Most surgeons will place them under if they can the removed my implants the 1st time and replaced them new ones then 2re op they removed my natrelle implants and replaced them with a diffrent brand and placed them over my muscles this time each placement is going to hurt but I wouldn’t even worry about that x
Okay thanks chicken, also another quick question… what are high profiles??x
Low profile is The first profile type is the low profile breast implant. These are the implants with the smallest forward projection. They actually have less projection than implants traditionally have, and are usually a good fit for wider framed patients.
Mods What is now known as the moderate profile implants are what used to be the standard size before different projection types were introduced. These create what’s usually considered to be a normal profile, with a round fullness that still adds plenty of volume to the breast. Women with a narrow chest may prefer this, as it can create the appearance of a wider chest.
High profile Lastly, these high profile breast implants have the most amount of projection to them when compared to the diameter of their base. To get the same projection with a moderate implant, one would have to get a much larger implant. In this way, the higher profile but smaller volume implant can give women with a smaller chest diameter the depth they want without side effects like rippling and unnatural looking width.
Okay thanks sweet you’ve helped a lot x
