Ho, I was wondering if anyone about be able to give me some advice please. I’ve been wanting a BA since I was 16, I’m not 37 and am finally taking that step. My back measures 28 and I think I am aa so pretty flat. I had a consultation last week and the surgeon said he would only do 215cc for me. I left the office feeling so confused and a little unhappy about it. My BWD is10cm which is why he said he cannot offer anything bigger. I have done so much research since and have seen posts from girls that have 10cm BWD and have had a lot bigger implants. I’m not looking to go massive but I am worried that 215cc won’t make much difference. I was really hoping for 250cc to get a nice C cup. I have another consultation today with another surgeon but I am worried he will say the same. Has anyone had a similar experience? Would 215cc look too small?
Thank you
Trust the surgeon. You don’t want boobs under your armpits!
I was a 32a (just about!) thanks to running and breastfeeding and ageing! (49 in June)
I had 275cc split muscle HP. 3 weeks post op – I’d say I’m a 32C or D. (Best decision in my life!! I’m so happy I finally have boobs!!!)
Have you done the rice in tights to assess the size? Grams equiv to mass of cc. Weigh out rice and put in the sock end of an old pair of tights. Try on inside bras or tops to emulate potential new size. I did this before deciding on my implant size before I met my surgeon and it gave me a good idea of what they might look like eventually. Also popped into m&s and tried on future bra sizes to see how they looked and what size cup would I fill.
Good luck! X
I am 6 weeks post op and was a 32b – I wanted a natural look so was offered 220cc low profile overs. They look mega natural and I am now a C cup. No one can tell I’ve gad them done because I always used to wear bras to look how I was supposed to. I am very happy with what I got. You can’t take back any ccs if you go too big.
I’ve attached a picture of the day if the surgery and today so you can see what I mean.
My left one is healing slower so they’re not quite there yet.
Please don’t get them. Biggest regret of my life. It will ruin your life I’m not joking. You will completely regret it. Even if you don’t realise your getting ill too believe me they are killing tou. Full of so much toxic crap and such a big risk of cancer. I’ve never regretted something so much and I haven’t spoke to many people that haven’t eventually also
Hi Claire, I think we all know the risks. I am really sorry if you’ve had a bad experience or whatever has made you negative about the surgery. Some people live with implants without ever having any issues, some people have issues from day 1.
As long as the OP is aware of all the risks and understands the cost and health implications for the future I think she’ll be fine.
People get implants for different reasons and although your post comes from a good place (I presume) it’s not helpful or nice to be so negative on something that someone wants to do to make them feel better.
The technology nowadays is a lot better than it was years back and the implants go through thorough testing before they get approved on the market as implants have been around for so long and a lot of testing was conducted. The textured implants have been found to have a higher likelihood of a possible BIA-ALCL cancer or the immune system caused by the implants, which is not breast cancer but a cancer of the white cells in the scar tissue in the capsule that forms around the implant.
A simple google search will show a lot of reports done, recalled implants, percentages of people with different complications etc – this is why it’s so important to research surgeons and make sure they are certified and that they use reputable suppliers, but this may mean that the costs are a lot higher to have the surgery.
I am 2 weeks post opp and had 215cc over the muscle here is before and afte
