Hey girls, I went to see the nurse today because I felt my right boob was bigger and more to the side than my left. The nurse said that boob is absolutely fine and looks good! the reason it looks so much different to my left is because the left boob that had a seroma is still abit high up and still a little tight so my left looks smaller. I’m looking at it as though my right is too big and to the side, when its actually my left that’s in the wrong lol. The nurse said my left will catch up its just going to take a little longer to recover because of the seroma. She is totally right, when I looked at some pics she did today, if I imagine my left like my right then my right looks fine lol. She showed me my pre op pics I can’t believe how quickly you forget what you looked like, but even on those my left was slightly higher, and the little boobs I did have were more to the side anyway, and of course implants only make what u already had look bigger they don’t change the shape of your boobs. So all in all I need to stop panicking and let my left boob settle and recover properly from the seroma. Im 6 wks po i can use bio oil on my scars now still in sports bras for 2 more week, then I can wear bras with no underwire, not sure when I can wear underwire bras the nurse said its ok if I’m going out for a special occasion but at the minute she wants me to avoid them. Thank you to all the girls that took the time to message me over the last few days xxx
glad your doing better hun 🙂 thats great news! non-wired bras arent that bad, you get used to them.
big hugs 🙂 xx
Thank you lovely lady :), I guess they are better than sports bras xxx
i dont mind my sports bras, three months in them now, and counting, they are comfy, but i do have non-wired for when im out and about, theres only so many tops that can go with a sports bra xx
Yay! Glad your ok now! I think i’ve developed OCD over my boobies ha ha xx
I don’t mind the sorts bras either Joanna I’m just abit bored of them I think. Xx
Thank you ladies, I’m going to try stop looking at them every two minutes and be a little more patient lol xxx
Aw glad everything went ok for you today Kirsty and at least your mind is at rest. Like Joannabella said the non wired aren’t bad at all, there’s some nice ones about with nice straps. I’m able to wear underwires now but I’m still wearing non wired as they’re so comfy plus I don’t want mine to look any bigger than they already are! Mine had their first night out last Sat (with the husband) and I have to say I never realised just how much attention big boobs get! Take care xx
Can you recommend any nice underwire bras Sharon? Xx
Ive not really looked at underwires yet just non wired as i dont know why but im a bit scared of wearing underwired yet plus I don’t want mine to look any bigger than they already are as I’m starting to feel a bit self concious of their size and thinking maybe I should have gone a bit smaller. Non wired wise, Debenhams have some nice ones which go up to an E cup. I’ve had to buy a few non wired maternity bras though as I’ve been measured an F cup, which I was abit gutted about as I only wanted to be a full C/D cup. I’ve managed to get some pretty ones though to keep me going until I decide to buy underwired. I would imagine M&S would do really nice bras too xx
So glad to hear that the nurse has reassured you xx hope your well Hun! Having my op in march btw! Xx
Thank you :), I just have to realise its going to take time because of the complication. March will soon be here hun I bet you can’t wait 🙂 xx
