Hey girls,
I had my BA in June 2015, 375cc overs, and over the past year or so Iv notice them getting sort of rippley at the bottom, it is very disheartening as it makes it embarrassing to wear low plunge tops on nights out and is making me very self conscious when undressed.
I’m yet to make an appointment with MYA as I’m very busy with work and Uni at the moment, but will do as soon as I know a date I’m going to be free to attend a consultation. Iv attached some photos just to get a second opinion
UPDATE: I saw Dr marcellio ( not sure if the spelling is correct ) before Christmas and he confirmed it was stage 1 displacement and will only get worse and stated that I cannot have correction surgery, he practically laughed me out of the room saying that this is the risks you take with breast surgery., he also seemed suprised that my surgeon gave me overs instead of undrers ( which might be the reason for this as I didn’t have much breast tissue to begin with) I found it very disheartening because Iv paid a lot of money for this and am still very self conscious.
And as he confirmed its first stage displacement you would of thought they would fix it as it inevitabley going to get worse, the pain in the left breast where the displacement is occurring is getting increasingly worse also.
I was also considering using MYA to get my rhinoplasty done this year, but I this has put me off.
It sounds like you’ve had a tough time with it all.
I think what’s really tricky is we are told about the risks that come with surgery, and because these are just risks from having implants, not things that happen because the surgeon has done anything wrong, it’s often not covered as it’s just a risk you take.
For example loss of nipple sensation is a risk you’re told about, and if you lose sensation it’s not the surgeons fault, some people suffer with it, some don’t.
When you sign the consent form you’re essentially saying ‘i accept its a risk and I’m willing to take the chance it won’t happen, and I know if it does happen, I’ll have to pay for it to be fixed’.
Where you may have a chance is if your surgeon wrongly advised you to have overs, when you should have had unders, and by doing that, your surgeon has increased the risk of displacemen. How you can prove it though is a different story, as displacement probably still occurs with unders I suspect?
I hope you find a way of resolving it with your surgeon or with mya, good luck!
Do you have a pre-op photo Nicole? 375 cc does seem like a large implant to have placed over the muscle on a patient with little tissue, using an implant that’s too large is one of the causes of double bubble, could your PC maybe offer any advice on getting a second opinion xxx
