So some of you may have seen my last post which was removed as it apparently breached the terms and conditions, I disagree but that’s another story. And now this probably will too but I just wanted to update you all as to how my experience has actually turned into a positive one.
I managed to get my post op yesterday and had the bandages removed. I was in a serious head on car accident on Monday evening so I was really worried about the incisions and the actual implants themselves. The girls couldn’t have been nicer and more concerned when I got there, not just my PC and nurse but also receptionist. Having the strapping removed wasn’t too bad although getting the residue off was difficult to say the least! But I am so happy with the results! I was a bit shocked at first and could barely look but they looked huge and I wasn’t too sure but when I got home and look properly, I am so so happy 🙂 the scars are bigger than I though, as in they come round on the outside further but they are healing nicely so far.
The nurse said I can’t put any cream etc on the scars until I have had my surgeon appointment in 8 weeks but I forgot to ask – can you put shower gel/soap on? I haven’t yet as I was too scared!
I think the problems I was having before is due to short staff which is understandable but it is very worrying when you’re having problems and no one answers or returns your calls when they say that they will.xx
