Just for all you girls currently doing your research here’s my journey so far hope this helps as I found it much harder to find a no implant uplift/reduction 🙂
Firstly the whole process has been amazing, so easy, so slick and I never felt alone big shout out to Nat and the other girls on the other end of the phone who answered all my questions/concerns! Anyone who has Mr Mahdi as a surgeon you are in safe hands, he’s very honest and realistic in what to expect both pre and post op, I had implants in my head (with uplift) but he explained that because of the size I was (32G) they were way too heavy and a reduction with the uplift was the best option, my breasts were heavy and really long and I realised he was right as the position uplift was more important trust your surgeon is all I’ll say!
Op was on the 30th Match at Preston first trust, the staff are amazing! You get your own room straight away (admitted at 10:15) and by around 11:30 I was been measured up by the surgeon and shortly after taken to theatre I was prepared for a much longer wait but I won’t complain! After surgery I was given some food when I felt up too it sandwich bag first and then I had a hot meal later (I think the anaesthetic made me really nauseous because I struggled to keep some of it down 🙁 ) pain wise was absolutely fine had no painkillers at all despite the nurse raising her eyebrows at me haha even the next morning I was still quite comfortable.
Back home I struggled the first day/night to get comfy as movement is hard/bit of pain but nothing unmanageable my advice is take it easy and don’t push yourself, within a few days I was up and about, I’ve done some gentle walking the last few days I’m now a week post op and getting more mobile watch day.
Had my first post op Thursday, the dressings taken off, wounds cleaned and replaced the nurse says their healing very well which is reassuring as this is the bit I’m most unsure of the healing process! Hardly had any pain when she did it which I was expecting the bit that twinges is where they took the drains out!
Sorry to go on but these forums helped me massively but a lot referred to implants so want to help all the girlies who just want some nice perky boobies 😉 any questions please ask!
