Hiya,
I’m just after some advice really! I am currently booked in for surgery in August to correct my asymmetrical breasts. I am having implants in one side, and then having an uplift in the other. I have decided not to have implants as well as the uplift because I didn’t want to go any bigger, I am currently a DD on one side and only about an A/B on the other, so really all I want is them to just both be a DD. Would people recommend getting the implant with the uplift? as my surgeon did mention it could potentially sag after a few years due to gravity without the implant too, and I worry they just won’t look the same?! Any advice would be great
Hi April, i had similar to you, one DD/E and one a C, i had the whole shebang done. So reduction on larger breast, (took 150g away) uplift and 225cc implant and then little one got uplift and 275cc. I had the option of only using an implant on one side to and then just uplifting the larger breast but i decided i just wanted them the same as they have been so different for so long so opted for implants in both. Cost me ALOT of money but i am pretty sure itll all be worth it. I am 5 days post op and have not seen them yet (dyyyyyyying to!) Get to see them monday when i get all my bandages taken off. Will upload pics if you are interested. Had my surgery done by Dr Tsekouras who is lovely. Recovery so far as been a dream too, so so so much better than i was expecting. Do not get me wrong its not a walk in the park but i am nearly back to normal bar the odd twinge and have been off the pain meds since 2dpo and i am a wimp with a capital W. Think i have just been lucky, or extremely numb, one or the other hahaha
Ah thanks so much for responding! It must be such a good feeling to have them done after living with it for so long. I am booked in for 24th August so not long now, I’m excited and nervous. Would be great if you could upload pics when you are able to see them, and I’m glad your recovery isn’t too bad as that’s what I’m worrying about, I have 2 weeks off work but ideally want to go back before that time to save my leave
Its the best feeling in the world!! Pics as promised. Will upload more as they settle. My surgeon has done an amazing job i am so happy, just need them to settle into place now, hopefully get my plasters off soon too as a little bit each side hasnt healed yet. I am 16 days post OP
Wow they look fantastic! You must be so pleased with them. I had mine done yesterday, i feel surprisingly okay this morning a little achey but I think the gallons of pain killers they are giving me is helping! I can’t wait to see what they look like soon I will upload pics before and after xx
Thank you! Good luck with your recovery! Would love t o see pics! Im hoping to get me plasters off this tuesday so will upload some more then! Cant wait for a shower… its been 3 weeks of half showers and hair washes in the sink hahahha xx
I can imagine how annoying it’s going to be not being able to properly wash and just chill in the bath! Im going to have a shower today to make myself feel a bit more human. I feel alright with the pain, the pain killers are really helping but feeling so emotional for no reason I don’t know if that’s because of the medication, or just that I’m over whelmed with the whole thing. Did anyone else feel this way? Xx
Yes, dont worry that feeling goes, its replaced with ‘im okay but i have had enough now’ will probs get better once you stop taking the pain meds too. I.am happy to say i am in a new state of emotions today after having my dressing removed and being able to shower AND being absolutley fantastically amazed with what the surgeon has done! Its a roller coaster ride but bear with, it gets so much better x
Wow they look great, so happy for you! I am a week and a half down and feeling so much better in myself luckily. I had the dressings changed on Friday and they are already looking amazing, so I can’t wait to see what they look like in a few weeks time. I will upload pics soon! Xx
Oh wow they look amazing G.. bet you are so pleased! I had my uplift Saturday morning.. your bandages are so clean and tidy.. mine are full off blood which is now worrying.. how was your recovery? I ache so bad today! X
Hi Jodie, my original bandages were the same i wouldnt worry! Looking back my recovery seems a breeze but at the time it wasnt haha, its been 5 weeks now and im back to normal. Odd twinge but thats it. Still numb but it doesnt bother me like it used to a week or 2 ago where even touching my skin felt very strange. If you start finding it tough, just remember to take it easy and in a few weeks you will feel normal again i promise! X
Hi Jaq, oh so sorry to hear that, have you spoken to your nurse about it? X
