I have found myself scrolling through forums, so thought I’d just ask the question myself!
I have my surgeons consultation on the 9th August. I was wondering does anyone have similar boobs to me and didn’t have an uplift just ba?

Mine are very similar to yours and I was told I’d need an uplift, but then I’ve seen other girls pics on here who had very similar boobs to mine and not had an uplift, just a BA and they still look great! Because I’m going for a big implant I have to have the implant first then the uplift 6 months after, so at least I can see them after the implants and can decide if I need an uplift or not after xx

It’s good to have a consultation with a few others if you’re unsure of what you have been offered by the surgeon. Absolutely get a second opinion if you’re in any doubt! Xx

I saw 2 different surgeons, one said I needed an uplift and the other said it was pointless as I only needed it for one side, plus the difference would be 1 cm.
I went with the BA only and I’m 1 week post surgery, I had 360 high profile overs and I’m pleased with the results.
I’ve posted a before pic, they were very saggy in my opinion and a now pic, they still feel really high/ swollen but will settle I’m told.
Defo get a few opinions, then you can weight it up properly 🙂

    @kaye76
I’ve seen that a lot on here. Does dill me with confidence as I don’t want the scaring and if I’m honest I’ve waited long enough to get them sorted.
Yours look great. How are you healing? Have you had any pain? Xx

I think you will possibly need an uplift , measure the distance from the notch at the base of your throat to nipple, The ideal distance aesthetically is around 18-22cm.
I was told if mine was more than 21cm I’d need an uplift x

I think you’ve just gotta think would you be happy if you ended up just getting implants and then they were quite low on your chest? Personally, if I was offered an uplift and implants I’d take it purely for the fact your boobs will look waaaaay better for longer!

Vicky, I’m healing great thanks and no pain at all, just tightness, tingling, more uncomfortable than painful…….the sleeping on your back is the hardest thing & not being able to shower for a week, yuck.
I’m pleasantly surprised at how mobile and comfortable I’ve been.
If I were you I’d get a few opinions, so you can make an informed decision. I couldn’t really afford the extra for the uplift and the scarring/ movement of the nipple scared the hell out of me.
And would you believe it post surgery after being so worried about the sagging I’m not worried they’re too high up, ha, ha, us woman are never happy!

The first surgeon I saw said I needed an uplift and the surgeon I actually went with said I did not, she advised me that a general rule is that if your nipple is lower than the crease under your boob then that is when you require an uplift. I’d just get a couple of opinions x

    +1

Thank you ladies. I definitely will get a couple of opinions.
Kaye76- you sound like your healing well. The sleeping on your back is be fine wirh I think, but not showering for that long is going to kill me lol. Yours do look great. Did they say they will drop more?
Hope you don’t mind if I add you as friends.

Dannii you are so right. I will definitely go with what the surgeons says is best. Think I’m just being impatient as the uplift would take longer, I was told they do it in 2 separate operations x

    Hi Vicky,
Yes I’m told they will naturally drop a bit, I find it’s ridiculous that originally I was worried about them sagging and no I’m bloody worried about them being too high! Ha, ha, never happy.
I’m back into work tomorrow after a week and a half off so nervous that people are going to be staring, and trying to figure out what to wear so that my bra isn’t sticking out!
The healing is getting better each day, I now just get the odd tingling in my nipple, I can’t feel one but apparently that’s normal and a stiffness in both boobs. I’m still taking painkillers a couple of times a day and being careful not to lift or pull anything so no hoovering (shame) lol. I’ve been shallow bathing so the dressing don’t get wet but I’ve now had the dressings off so I’m excited about getting a shower.
