    Hi Girls

I’m currently in the process of booking my surgery…I met with my Patient Coordinator back in April and then met with the surgeon she recommended (Dr Andrea Giannitrapani) last Monday evening. He was so lovely, literally looked at my chest for 30 seconds and already knew what he needed to do. At the moment I’m a VERY empty B cup…I used to be DD/E but have lost nearly 11 stone and of course the weight just disappears from the breasticles! Fortunately I’ve been quite lucky everywhere else and have managed to tone up really well from the gym. It’s just my boobs I want to change now.

So, he suggested having an uplift which I knew would be the case and he also suggested having between 275 – 325cc implants. I told him I want to be as natural as possible which he totally agreed with. He just said that the bigger I go the more chance of potential sagging which is understandable…especially as I have a prominent chest bone so the implants would have to sit quite low down anyway. Since coming on the forum I’ve seen that a lot of girls have said they’re having their implants over/under the muscle. He didn’t discuss this with me and I didn’t ask the question either – does this make a difference? Do I need to specify what I want or is it the surgeons choice? Also I’m seeing girls talk about high profiles/tear drop implants but again those weren’t mentioned during my consultation with him. I just wondered if those were for implants only and not implants/uplifts?

Also if anyone has had their surgery done with Dr Andrea I’d love to hear how it went/see the results!

Sorry for all the questions – any advice would be really helpful!

    Thank you 🙂

Hi Vic 🙂 I think it depends on how much breast tissue you have to work with already if you can have the option of choosing between unders and overs. The surgeon would give you their recommendation on implant profile and positioning. I ended up going back to my surgeon a few times with questions about profile, but she told me in the first consultation that because of the lack of breast tissue and my saggy skin i have to have unders. There are a lot of different posts on here about pros/cons of unders/overs. I would maybe see if you can speak with your surgeon again, but to me it sounds like you have a choice if he didn’t suggest anything, I could be horribly wrong though xx

    Hi Vicky
I have been to see surgeon today and have been offered 265CC over the muscle aswell as an uplift and have surgery booked for end of July. I am a saggy/empty 34B. My surgeon showed me different profile implants but didnt advise which one he would use however i get to meet him again for a second consultation in June to discuss in further detail. xxx

Hey girls – thanks so much for getting back to me! Really appreciate it.

Fern you’re completely right. I rang up my Patient Coordinator last night, she checked my notes and said that the surgeon had circled both unders and overs so it’s up to me what I want to have. I’m going to do a bit of research to see which one would be best for me. It’s interesting that you had unders but Alexa will be having overs. I’m assuming you’ve had your surgery now – how did it go? Hope everything went well!

Alexa I’m the exact same size as you at the moment. I’m currently deciding whether to go for 275cc or 300cc – they did offer me 325 but I think that will be too big. I just want to be as natural as possible and look in proportion again! So exciting that you’re booked in at the end of July, bet you can’t wait!!

I rang last night to book my surgery and because I have a few holidays towards the end of the summer they’ve managed to get me in on a cancellation date on Tuesday 13th June!!!! I’m so nervous it’s just under 4 weeks away. Was expecting it to be sometime in October so I can’t believe they’ve managed to get me in. I’ve got another consultation with my surgeon just before the surgery so I’ll be asking him all these questions then 🙂

    Thank you!! xxx

Ooh exciting Vic! I’m booked for uplift and overs July 31st. I’m similar to you, lost weight and left with empty boobies. Can’t wait to see your results! Xx

Overs tend to be better with uplifts, as long as you have some breast tissue to work with, im having overs in june, i got offered 225 but i think thats too small so im meeting my surgeon next week and asking for 275 as if still want a natural look too and seen so many girls with 275 that look amazing xx

Plus recovery is meant to be easier with overs xx

Christie I’ll definitely let you know how it goes – I’m setting up an IG account tonight so you can add me on there if you like? I haven’t seen many before and afters from uplift and implants at all so it’s good to have people to go too! Did you decide to go for overs yourself or did your surgeon suggest it? xx

Ahh really? Thanks Jodie – that’s interesting that overs tend to be better with uplifts. Is that what your surgeon advised you to go with? I’m trying to work out the pros and cons but it’s only really giving me info on overs/unders when you’re just having BA rather than having uplift and BA! My chest bone is quite prominent but I must have enough breast tissue to work with if he’s suggested both overs and unders?
I agree the 275’s look amazing – he’s offered me 275, 300 or 325 – I feel like 325 will be too big but then if I go for 275 I feel like I’ll have boob greed and wish I’d gone bigger! I wish they could do a photoshop image of what we’d look like with different sizes on haha!! I don’t get the full effect of what it will look like when I try the bras on with my patient coordinator xx

Hi Vicky, just seen that you have got your surgery booked for June – I AM SO JEL! This waiting game is so hard. I would love to follow your journey and see how you get on. Im going with 265 so will be a similar kind of size and i would love to see the results! There arent many smaller implants to compare to on here. I am still not sure how to use this site properly and find it a bit confusing! xxx

    Hi Alexa

I know it’s the worst waiting!! I was actually going to book for September time because I have a holiday booked in July and they couldn’t get me in beforehand. Then my patient coordinator said they had a cancellation on 13th June. I was like AHHHH PLEASE BOOK ME IN!!! Haha. So yes I’m very excited!
I’m going to set up an Insta page (keep saying I will but haven’t got round to it yet) so you can follow me on there and I’ll document everything? I think it’s so good seeing/hearing others experiences. And by the time you get round to yours I’ll be just over 6 weeks PO so it will give you a good idea 🙂 xxx

Hi Hun. Have you told them you’re going on holiday on 12th July? They wouldn’t let me have mine done if it was within 6 weeks of going away…mine works out 6 weeks and 1 day and they were still unsure whether that was okay! They ended up ringing the hospital and speaking to someone who said it was fine. They have a policy that says if you’re having major surgery (which this is classed as) you have to leave it 6 weeks to fly short haul flights – mainly Europe. If it’s long haul flights it’s 8 weeks! Swimming wise they also said to me it has to be after 6 weeks…and they said I will need extra protection over my scars even with a bikini on when I’m sunbathing.
You’ll be just over 4 weeks PO when you go so I would check with them if I was you. You don’t want it to hinder your recovery xx
