Hi girls, just wondering if you were able to exercise as normal after your BA, obviously when you’ve been cleared to do so – in particular upper body exercises such as press ups? Xx

I’m 6 weeks post op today and have gone back to the gym but I’m just doing lower body stuff, my surgeon said I could go back to normal weightlifting after 6 weeks but I’m so scared of doing any damage that I’ going to avoid any direct chest exercises for another 6 weeks but I’d be interested to hear how other girls have got on and how long they waited before doing upper body exercises.

Hey both, it definitely depends on overs or unders.
I had unders 9months ago, only 275mod, and started yoga, running and some bodyweight after 6weeks and thinks this was too much too soon. One of my implants moved a little bit and i had to stop again for a few weeks and tape my boob up. Basically, the implant was pushed down. It looks fine now and is not visible in clothes. but when i flex my chest muscles it is visible that both sides look different and the implants sit a little different on both sides.
So not to scare you, but don’t do too much too soon and listen to your body, which I didn’t do properly.
Just remember that a couple of weeks of waiting longer or atarting slower won’t make much of a difference to your fitness in the long run, you’ll have them now for good 🙂
Sorry for the essay, happy to anawer questions of course. LS

Thanks Lisa, I have been wondering this as well. I’m 3 weeks post op and itching to get back to the gym, but going to wait a few months I think, I have had uplift and implants and just don’t want to risk any damage, it’s not worth it! Xxx
