Using deodorant on pre op

Hey this is probably a really stupid question and no doubt I’ll be embarrassed about it later lol

But can you wear deodorant to the pre op or does that interfere with the mrsa swab?? X

Good answer Harriet I’ve got my pre op today and I’ve literally only come on the forum for a few tips and now you’ve mentioned this it’s got me thinking I wonder if you can wear it.. Hopefully someone will know X

It’ll be fine girls! I went straight from work so hadn’t even showered straight before it. You don’t have to do anything different at all before the pre op xxx @harriet @amy

I thought that but still swabbed my armpit xx

You can wear deodorant it won’t affect it. My nurse said it doesn’t matter when I had mine xx
