    Hiya girls!!
My opp is in 3 weeks iso I’m trying to get organised and I understand I need to get a v pillow for after surgery but which one do people recommend and how exactly does it help? Do I definitely need one or will my regular pillows be okay?x

Hi Megan, personally my v shaped pillow was the best thing I bought for recovering after my surgery. It helps with sleeping and supports you whilst you have to sleep in that damn upright position and keeping on your back lol. I bought mine from Dunelm, has the teddy bear cover so super soft and think it was about £15. Although saying that I’ve heard from girls that were still fine without one and just used normal pillows to prop themselves up. All down to personal preference I guess and just finding the best way to be as comfortable as possible : ) X

Thanks Katie, I’ll have a browse online and get one ordered. I’m dreading sleeping on my back, never been able to do that?xx

I found it surprisingly alright because I was dreading the sleeping aspect as well lol. The one thing I found the most annoying was having a numb bum haha from sleeping upright and not doing much except from moving from bed to sofa so whenever you feel you can I would recommend just pottering about as they say lol.
You’ll be absolutely fine though! X

Would so highly recommend the teddy bear v pillow from Dunelm! I’m gona use it forever now it’s so comfy! I also have one from Argos just a basic white one, which was double the price of the dunelm one! I use both stacked on top of eachother xx

I bought a bed wedge from eBay, the kind that they use to position elderly people on so that they don’t get pressure sores! It is a 45 degree angle so it ensures I am upright enough, I just use that with a few pillows and a travel pillow to support my neck. I struggled a bit at first especially with back ache and a numb bum, but now I’m so used to it.

Thanks girls! I’m definitely gonna get the Teddy one from dunelm, I hadn’t ever heard of the bed wedge but that looks perfect so I think I’ll get one of those too x
