Hi ladies so it’s the day after my vaser on my outer thighs and bum, so I thought I would tell you about it in case your thinking of having it done. It took the full 2 hours so I’m hoping there are no wobbly bits left lol. I arrived at the Fitzroy at 10.00am for my 10.30 admission slot, we were early but I was taken up straight away I had my partner with my who brought his laptop and worked while keeping me company.

Firstly the nurse came and took all my details, blood pressure temp ect… The the anaesthetist cane and explained what would happen (he would put an cannula in my had and give me anti sickness meds, the a heavy sedative, Dr kingdon would then inject the local anesthetic – which I didn’t even feel by the way!)

Dr kingdon came up later and drew on my bum which was funny but good so I knew what he was doing.

They came and took me down at about 2pm they were all so lovely and the drugs were epic!! I don’t remember a thing. Next thing I know I wake up in the recover room feeling very cold and sick, the nurses Stuart and June quickly put an anti sickness shot in my cannula and that got rid of it almost instantly! Then I got an inflatable hot air blanket put over me – best thing ever! I stayed in recovery for about an hour just dozing and chilling out while they monitor you and wait for the sedative to wear off a bit. Two nurses then wrestled the Spanx x1000 on to me – once they get them over your feet just try to lift your bum up like doing a bridge exercise the LA is still numbing you so it’s painfull but not too bad and that made it a whole lot quicker.

Then I was taken back to my room where my patter was nervously waiting for me bless him. Had to then stay in my room for a couple of hours while they checked up on me but I pretty much got straight up as it was painful sitting on my bum and I needed a wee (that wasn’t fun either!) the LA had nearly worn off and I was leaking bloody watery fluid everywhere! This part is not nice at all everyone tells you it’s going to happen but good lord there’s alot of it!! Finally my partner and I pretty much had had enough by now and spoke to our lovely nurse and told her we wanted to go, she check my BP once more and made me have some more water and let me go.

Drive home was interesting! Got some food forced down me at home then straight to bed with two of the pain killer they gave me and pads to line my bed – ask for a good supply of these you’ll need them if you like your bed! Woke up every couple of hours as I move a lot in my sleep. Once your still in a comfy position it’s not to bad but I’m not gonna lie it’s bloody painful and getting in and out of bed and using the toilet is unbearable right now! My bruising is already quite bad but a had a sneaky look and even with the fluid they pump into you and the swelling I’m over the moon with the result!

When I’m a bit more with it I will put some pics on-please ask any questions I will try to answer soon. Xxx

Ha ha Laura your experience sounds just like mine! With Stuart the recovery nurse and the hot air blanket. I also dos the bridge will they put the garment on as they would of been there for ever otherwise. Yes using the toilet the first time is awful isn’t it!? Blood and liquid everywhere! I wasn’t prepared for that at all. Mine stopped by my second day. Hang in there it gets so much easier after a few days! Xx

@laura fantastic read I had my ba 10 weeks ago and now considering Vaser to inner /outer thighs and bum. How long is the suggested recovery time?

@amy they said a week is fine I had it done Tuesday and I’m going back to work this Monday so not even a full week. I am very bruised and stiff but once you are moving you can almost forget about it. My job is pretty full on but I feel confident that I’ll be ok and I’m ready. I’ve driven for the first time today and that was fine, just hurts getting in and out – it is an auto though, not sure how I’d feel if it was manual and constantly having to move for the clutch pedal?

@laura I have a hands on job with children with special needs so thinking to save it for a school holiday. May wait till later on in the year as dont have the funds right now and can’t imagine wearing the post surgery garment in summer

Hi I’m post surgeon consultation and so scared to actually book. The money isn’t really ‘spare’ but my body makes me unhappy enough to go there! I want inner and outer thighs , muffin top & upper arms-please please can everyone send me any pics if those areas before and after And tell me how they found their experience? I don’t want to spend the £ for non amazing results-I truly want perfection

Everyone has different results, I think if you want “perfection” your surgeon will be the only person that can tell you what result you can expect. Going into this with that mindset could be risky.

As for the experience it’s painful and uncomfortable but you deal with it. From my point of view totally work it I’m very pleased so far. I’m only 3 weeks post op so still swollen and can’t see the full result but I’m very excited to reach the 6 week mark!

Haven’t got any before pics at the mo need to get them from my nurse. But feel free to add me to look at my afters.

Hi hun @kate. there is no such thing as perfection. Your surgeon can only work with what he is given and your natural body shape. You have to have realistic expectations or you will be left disappointed no matter what. I knew I wouldn’t wake up with legs like Kate moss but just a slightly better version of what I already had xx

Kate, as much as we all want perfection, this is impossible to achieve. A surgeon can only work with that he has and tell you the results you are likely to achieve (normally through photo imaging).
