Vaser Revision Surgery needed – now getting zero Customer Care from Mya

So i had my Vaser surgery back in June 2015. At the time i was very happy with my lower stomach but from the first day i had my vest removed, i wasnt happy with my top stomach. I made this clear through every consulation etc. I was told i had to wait 6 months until the swelling went down. After 6 months, i still wasnt happy and started the revisions process.
In mid January, my revision surgery was authorised.

Eventually, i was given a surgery date of 29th March. A bit of a wait, but hey ho, ok.

I was then given my pre-op appointment date – 5th March – so far so good.

5th of March arrives. 7.30am, i recieve a phone call at 7.30am telling me that my pre-op appointment needs to be cancelled as it was booked with a nurse who wasnt actually at work that day. This was bad enough but i had called the day before to enq if i could change the time and no-one had said a word about this. Booking a date with someone who was actually at work that day would seem to be a basic proceedure in my book ! The person who called me said that their system wasnt working properly so they were unable to book me another pre-op.

So i waited all day for someone to call me, no-one did. I treid calling the clinic on numerous occassions, no-one ever answered – now a common theme.

Eventually, on two days later i got through to someone and we booked a new pre-op appointment for the 21st March. I jokingly said ‘ i hope that the nurse will be wokring that day!’ and was told that of course they were.

So, on Saturday 12th March i was away in Berlin. I got a missed call and when i got back Sunday night, the voicemail was from Mya asking me to call them to re-arrange my pre-op appointment.

I called first thing Mon morning – and then at intervals throughout the day. No-one ever answered.

I went onto the live chat via the Mya website and they arranged for one of the nurses to call me back.
Evetually they did call me back – and told me that my pre-op on the 21st needed to be cancelled as ‘Sarah’ was not at work that day – i kid you not !!

The lady then said – well, i dont see any point in booking a new pre-op anyway as your surgery has been cancelled …!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This was the first i had ever heard of this. She told me that Dr Kingdon who had done my original surgery, was no longer operating for Mya. Wow ! I’d had no contct from my PC about this – well, tbf i’d only ever spoken to Taylor Adams twice – once to confirm my surgery date and once to ‘book’ my first pre-op.

I then said i wanted to make a complaint about the way i had been treated. I have been wiating ever since for someone to contact me to a) confirm that my surgery is cancelled as i have only ever been told by mistake ! and b) so that i can make a compaint.

Every day i call the clinic – no-one answers.
I have emailed my PC, Taylor Adams – no response.
I go onto live chat every day – they tell me that somone will definately contact me each day – they never do.
I have asked to escalate this as no-one will speak to me – they say i have to wait to be contacted.

It seems to me that i am being treated this way as i am a revision patient. I have already had one proceedure – and i am due to have another a Mya’s expense. They do not seem to have any interest in me as they have already had my money. If i was looking to book, i would be contacted immeidiatly, but now i have an issue, they wont even speak to me.

Anyone else expierence anything like this ?

Update – I got a call today from my PC’s boss, apologising for everything that has happened and my op is back on for the 29th – was an issue with insurance renewal apparently,

Hi Alison, sorry to hear about that. My situation is quite similar, I had my op on Feb 2nd 2016 – vaser in my stomach and arms and so far I haven’t seen much difference in my arms or top stomach, my lower stomach is ok but no great.
I have emailed my nurse but they don’t seem to come back to me, so annoying!
Hope all goes well in the vaser revision surgery 🙂

Had my op yday – now sat in my vest and garment again – can’t wait to get it off already ! Hopefully my top stomach looks better now, will get to have my first look tomorrow at my nurse appointment
