Very happy with MYA :-))

Hi girls,

I just wanted to post a little message to anyone having second thoughts. I know there’s been a few negative posts the last week, but I just wanted to say that so far my experience has been a good one. My PC has been in touch from start to finish and always someone on the phone when needed. My procedure went so well yesterday and pain wise I’m doing great. All the staff at the hospital were fantastic. My PC text me a few hours after my op and also again today and the nurse has also called me twice today to check I’m doing alright. I know things go wrong from time to time, and people have complications later on down the line but then most of these things are outlined in out paperwork and advised to us. It’s a risk we take when opting for cosmetic surgery. And I’m not saying MYA are perfect as I know some people have had issues. However I truly can not fault them. I’m so happy with my results even so early on and I really can’t fault any of the staff. Try not to dwell on negative posts, as lots of us have had really good experiences with mya xxxx

@candybabey I left about 9pm. I went down at 12.45 and got back about 2.15pm into my room. I was waffling on about garden centres in recovery apparently haha. I would of gone sooner but felt wobbly and legs like jelly from general anaesthetic so decided to stay a little and had some chocolate and lucozade. I slept good last night. I have an electric blanket and that really helped me be comfy and warm. Xxx

Lool garden center gossh that’s random haha I hope I don’t talk about anything strange il go tomatoe red cheeks lol aww I need to get myself one those sounds lush. Is the pain as bad as you thought it would’ve been like straight after surgery when you started coming round from the anesthesia xx

Uve hit the nail on the head when you say about risks and how there clearly outlined to us.. People just find MYA an easy option to blame when something goes wrong not realising the truth is its our fault because we signed on that dotted line! X

Glad to read this post, I’ve felt nervous this week with all the negative posts but the fact is I’ve wanted this for 10 years, and as with ANY surgery (not just cosmetic), there are risks. The most worrying thing for me is rippling because I’m so flat, but a lot of girls with unders who were smaller have beautiful results. Only time will tell if our surgeries are ‘successful’ – the number of people with complications are low compared to the number of people who are thrilled. I keep trying to convince myself that being negative won’t help me when I’m there or recovering. It’s all about positivity, and hopefully, there won’t be any complications.

@candybabey when I came round I had no pain. And I mean no pain just felt heavy chested but ow and fine. Was putting my hair up and all sorts lol. It got a little sore where my scars must be but I had ibuprofen from the nurse and I was fine. I felt shaky and sick and dizzy from the GA about 4 hours later but just had a injection for sickness and some soup and bread and then was okay. You will feel tired and a bit spaced out but pain wise I was okay. It’s more of a tight heavy feeling. Today I’ve felt a little tender but nothing unbearable and only when I first get up from lying down.

@Deb119C you’ll be just fine Hun, rippling is a risk. But I’m sure your surgeon will do an amazing job xxx

I have also has such a good experience with MYA and the after care. PC has kept in touch throughout the process. Had my op yesterday at first trust with amazing doctors and nurses (honestly were the most nicest people I have ever met). As soon as i got home my PC rang me straight away. I written a post on HERE about having blood on my strapping and a moderator saw it and rang me to ask how much blood and to reassure me which I was really impressed with and I’ve had 2 phone calls from nurses.
Pleased with MYA an fantastic stay at first trut hospital. One happy MYA girl so far 🙂

Aww that’s brill, well even if I can do my own hair etc Ima take advantage I’ve got my personal pa with me ha! To do that for me I’m staying at a hotel aswell so travelling far for. When I have mine. Who was your surgeon btw, reall happy for darl xx

Thanks @revecca 🙂 how are you feeling now? I’m happy with my results but they look flat from the front I’m hoping it’s cause my middle is raised and when that goes down they will look better as they look so big to me from the side lol xx

Oh yes he is I’ve met him before, he’s sadly leaving mya apparently end year xx
