I have Vaser with Dr Kingdon tomorrow (tummy and flanks) and I’m terrified of 2 things: 1, Something going wrong 2) I’m financing this myself and I am worried I’m about to waste my life savings if it doesn’t come out as I expect.
If it does I count it money well spent as I have lost over 50 pounds on my own and I’ll like to feel attractive again.
Can anyone help me feel better about this please.
You’ll be fine honey… Vaser is really safe and so rare to have anything go wrong.
I can only go by own results but I’m SO happy with my waist area after vaser. It’s an Amazing difference it was so so worth it, the arms I had to and this was not so good results, so I’m glad I didn’t pay extra for them but still better than not doing them.
But honestly flanks and tummy results I’ve seen on others and my own results are SO worth it!
Good luck! Don’t forget to post pics for us after!!! 🙂
Thanks Emma. 3hrs after my vaser. In all kinds of discomfort. Mainly back pain and this garment feels like a punishment for something i probably didnt apologize to my mom or an Ex for doing. Phew! Would keep you updated and post pictures once i can stand without wincing. But i most say it wasnt as bad as i thought. Hope thats not the remnants of the pain kilers still talking 🙂
Hi! Please post pics and updates of your progress! I’m also having vaser done with Dr Kingdon in November and there doesn’t seem to be much feedback on him on the forum xx
I noticed that as well. But he was really reassuring and practical. I haven’t taken any pain Meds since I left the clinic yesterday so that’s definitely a plus. Expected to be in a lot of pain. I even got some work done. Going back tomorrow for my 2 days past Op check up. Would see if I can take pictures then. Still wrapped in the garment so I haven’t even seen my body yet. Fingers crossed!!!!
Hi.
Been following your posts…i have my op with Dr Kingdon next weds. Really nervous to say the least. He seemed ok at a consultation so hopefully hes as good to me on op day! … Thinking the worst!
How have you found the pain the day after or bending over… I have 2 children my youngest being 5 1/2 months…worried about caring for him tbh. Xx
Hi Lyndsey,
You have absolutely nothing to worry about. I have the pain threshold of a fly and I have not taken any pain meds since I left the hospital which means I’m in virtually no pain. It’s just the discomfort of the garment which is manageable. I have 3 children (9 and yrs boys and 3yrs girl) I hope you’d not be taking care of him alone though. Even if you’re not in pain, You’d be a it tired and I know how demanding babies can be.
Hello @Yana, I’ve added you. I considered it for a long time as well. I’d heard so many horror surgery stories that it became a terrifying prospect.
I think the 1st thing to realize is this doesn’t fix an eating disorder or an unhealthy lifestyle. Because it is not very invasive like a gastric bypass etc, you have to be willing to do a lot of work as well.
I used to be very slim in my 20s. I wore dress size 6 or a very small 8 because of my bust. But as I grew older got married and had 3 kids, I ballooned out of shape. I spent 10yrs and a lot of money on fad diets and gym membership. I tried everything with no reasonable or permanent results.
2yrs ago, I decided to come up with my own diet. I ate 5 times a day, lots of fruits and vegetables. I was never hungry. My goal was to find a balance in such a way that I could eat that way for the rest of my life. I lost 23kg (50lbs) in the process.
I would be lying if I said it’s been easy. But it’s been sustainable and unlike before, I have never gained more then 5kg back at any time.
I did all these without any intensive exercise as I am very lazy about exercise. I manage to take a 1hr walk about 3 times a week.
Excess weight slowly eroded my self confidence until I wouldn’t even go clothes shopping cos I always came back depressed. Losing the weight helped a lot to boost my confidence.
I have the typical Apple shape figure which you know doesn’t look the best in clothes so I set a goal to reduce my tummy to make clothes fit better. Try as I might, it just wouldn’t shift significantly hence my research into surgery.
I liked the idea of vaser because of the recovery time and minimal invasion and I’m now glad I did it especially with MYA as it has been a good experience for me and I can already see a major difference.
This would make it easier for me to focus on eating better and even throwing in more exercise.
Sorry for the long speech just wanted to throw that in.
Your results are absolutely amazing!! I bet you are so so pleased! You look great.
I take my vest off in 4 days time i cannot wait! Xx
Thanks. Very pleased been dragging that tummy weight along for a long time. Now I feel encouraged to go out and exercise more .
hi sam. i had my vaser surgery friday 15th on top, bottom abs and flanks and already over the moon with my results. my daughter had her surgery the day before, also the same but thighs as well. she says the most painfull part was her thighs
Hi Kimbo
Can I ask which surgeon you had? I am really nervous about the dangers and the cost not paying off.
Thanks
Lee
Hi Kimbo,
I am getting my upper and lower stomach and flanks done. I am booked in for August the 2nd, how long roughly did your recovery take? I am going away 6 weeks after that date so a bit worried it may not be long enough and that I should reschedule!
Thanks 🙂
