Very worried – first shower – need advise girls

Evening girls, tomorrow I have been told by my nurse to take my steri strips myself and then have a shower… I no this sounds pathetic but I’m too scared! I don’t feel ready to have a shower as I’m so scared about getting an infection and damaging my boobs! Did anyone else feel like this? What are the warning signs when I take my steri strips off, tomorrow I’ll be 10 days post op.
Any advise would be greatly appreciated xxx

I still feel scared about showering and I’m almost 3 weeks post op!
I just stand with the water running away from me and splash wash!
Make sure you don’t allow he shower to point directly on your incisions my nurse said! Good luck 🙂

Awwww can’t advise on steri strips but I just let the shower run over me I have been using Johnson’s baby all in one wash on my top half & let it just run over me I don’t touch my incisions. I also make sure I have plenty of Time & not rushing so generally shower when I’ve taken my little boy to school! You will be fine good luck xx
