Waiting on November dates for Dr Sleiter?

Hi girls,

I had my PC e-consultation last month and then my surgeon e-consult about 2 weeks after that. Everything went well and I made it really clear to the original PC and the girl I spoke to after the surgeon call that I was keen to progress and get a date booked in ASAP. However after my surgeon call the girl told me that they’re waiting for November dates to be released and so she would be in touch then. I’ve chased last week and she said these still aren’t available and I was just wondering whether this seems normal as I know other people are booked in for November surgeries already?

My surgeon is Dr Sleiter and I know from a few posts on here that he’s being assigned surgeries that were meant to be with other doctors due to them not being in the country. So I’m a bit concerned I’m being fobbed off while they try to work through the backlog with him?

Would be great to hear if anyone’s had similar communication? x

I had my eConsultation with Dr Sleiter on Thursday just gone about a rhinoplasty, and he said he’s just confirmed his October dates with MYA that day and that his November dates should be coming next week.

I know with the rhinoplasty it’s taking them a little longer to sort dates out as they have only recently been allowed to perform them again (rhinoplasty operations were stopped because of COVID being a respiratory illness).

I’m sure they’re not fobbing you off, and good luck with the surgery in November… maybe we’ll pass each other in the hospital, haha!
