Hi girls, i have booked my first consultation for the 12th of Feb and just wondering how long would it be from then for me to have the surgery ? I would ideally like to have it by late March/early April as I go back to work in May after my maternity leave. Do they work around your schedule or do you need to wait for them as I believe the doctors only operate on specific days in the month or am I wrong ? I would really like Dr Fiumara to perform my surgery as I have done so much research about different surgeons and belive she is the one for me. Any advice would be much appreciated

Hey! It all depends what availability the surgeon you choose to go with has, I saw my surgeon beginning of jan and his next Availability was May… so it all depends how booked up they are. Xx

I’ve just posted a similar post! I’m booked in for 13th Feb for my initial consultation, so wondering the same thing?!
Is this your very first consultation with the nurse or first one with a surgeon? x

This will be my first consultation with the nurse, I really hope I can get the op date within the next 2 months as I want to make the most of my time off work. If I cant then I quess I will need to wait till autumn, I dont think its a good idea to get surgery in the summer, might be even more uncomfortable if its hot lol

Oh I see, I thought you didn’t have your pre op appointment with the nurse till you had booked your surgery? I thought the order of appointments are.. Consult with the co ordinator, Consult with the surgeon, Nurse appt, Surgery day. Xx

This will be my first ever appointment at the clinic so yes it will be with the co ordinator, my bad, I misunderstood. Did you get to choose your surgeon or did the co ordinator recommmended them for you, if you dont mind me asking ?

Hiya, I’ve got my surgery with her this Monday. Had my first appointment on the 24th of November and had an appointment booked with dr Fiumara for beginning of December but she was ill and off sick so only saw her beginning of January. She does have dates available, when I first asked, I was even offered a date in December so if you see her in February she’ll definitely be able to squeeze you in for April 🙂 I believe your surgical consultation has to happen minimum 2 weeks before your surgery and you need to ask for your last 2 years of medical history from your gp, I was told some gps take a while to print it off but mine did it in a couple of days 🙂 good luck!

@taliya You can see who you want Hun, I requested to see my surgeon through recomendation of friends that used him… as soon as I met him I knew he was the surgeon for me. Very happy and don’t feel the need to see a second surgeon. Xx

I had my initial consultation on 16th Jan and booked my surgery straight away as she recommended the surgeon I wanted, booked in for 5th March so it wasn’t a long waiting list but again it depends on the availability of the surgeon x

Hi Taliya, I paid £1000 deposit after seeing my patient coordinator, think it was a week after I met her. I wanted to ensure that I could have the surgery at the end of Jan but you can also secure your op date after seeing the surgeon. If you want to do that, the deposit would be £500 🙂 It probably would’ve been fine for me to secure the date after seeing dr Fiumara but I was too excited to wait. Good luck with your appointment and yes, I am super excited now, last weekend with small boobies haha 🙂 xx
